1st Tata Italian Trophy

Hi all,
a quick description of the Trophy: a circuit about 1200 m long with some difficulty, not very hard thought, to be completed in certain amount of time, shorter or longer time means penalty to be added to the final score. One direction in the morning and the other way round in the afternoon.
12 Safari, 1 TL (mine:-)) and about 13 different other vehicle, not in the rank thought...

Some picture of the first Tata Trophy...

Wow! That's great.
Who organises this? Is it some official event? Or run by a group of enthusiasts?
Nice pictures.
So, did you win this one? Nice to see good interest on our Tata. Please give us more details about this event.

Nice! anymore pics? what about the other competitors? and did you win?

Off topic- how easy or difficult is it to get a 4WD Tata TL in india. the foreign markets always seem to get the best stuff from our manufacturers.

That looks like a lot of fun. Who won and did any of the trucks break down?

You can get it at any of the Tata showroom, including commercial vehicle showrooms. It's readily available in the Indian market [takes around a week for the vehicle to arrive after order], price are a little let down though, for a single cab 4x4 I think the price is 6.95Lacs, for a crewcab it was 8.2 on road goa, but I had got a call couple of months back saying the prices have been reduced by almost 1.2Lac.

Hey nice to see the TL doing some good off road stuff, did all the Tata vehicles finish or were there any break downs? Who was the winner, if possible could you post some more pics.
What sort of OTHER vehicle were there? I mean stock or any moded with serious kit?

Ignazio, great pics there. I only wish you had some rain and therefore some slush too - THAT would've been fun!

Nothing official, organised by friends from an off road association about 400 km away from my home!

Only two had a problem, first had the main pulley running belts, unbolting just on the track, but we manage to fix it a couple of hours later and our friends could get home without trouble. Second, was just a radiator fan connector not running ok, I fix it very quickly too...

Pics are coming, not many thought...
We had Nissan Patrol, Suzuki Jimny/SJ/Santana, Toyota LX/Land Cruiser, Ford Ranger, Mitsu Pajero, Ssangyong Korando, Opel Frontera and one Jeep Wrangler.

Very dry unfortunately... but the hidden track out of the "official circuit" were very muddy and deep... lots of crazy drive into big holes!

LOVELY. Wonderful pics. If this is something done by friends, I think the friends who organize the Delhi AutoCross need to outsource its management!

Nice pictures buddy.

Looks like most of them are older TCICs. Most of the Tata Club Italia chaps run TCICs and only a few members seem to have the newer 3.0 or the 2.2s.
