Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() Some more pics from our fellow jeeper Gopi who owns immaculate 1.3 litre white gypsy with red flared arches. He is a good photographer and a good off road driver too!! Other man in action was Vivek taking over 2wd MM540 and making it cross places where 4wd found it difficuilt to go. Kartik was always there in his superb black gypsy with white wheels, Manoj on his international engine power willys loves taking dips in deep water:-)))) The black CJ340 with NDMS 700x16 belonged to vivek and was the jeep of the event. Efforless through out. lets pics do the taking again..... |

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() Hi Guys, We had a small OTR on 25 Jan -09 which started at about 2 p.m and ended by 8.00 p.m We guys met at hotel harish on OMR for lunch and headed to thiruporur the same location done lasttime. Though the location was same we took a different route and ended the OTR after crossing the embankment through feilds to the main road. We had the following vehicles- M&M CJ 340 DP M&M MM550 XDB (black colour) MM540 DP (Mine) Gypsy - 2 Nos gypsy kings- 2 Nos Mahindra Classic Mitsubishi pick up L200 We had tough time crossing the bund and it was miracle that LWB pick up could do it. Not good at writing, hence so short ![]() |

BHPian ![]() | ![]() Hi Vinod, As mentioned earlier also, "Amazing trail". Bet you guys had a ball going through it. Not many Jeeps have the right kind of tryes for such a terrain, its just my observation and dont intend to offend any Jeeper. I recognize the red classic, Trammway how did it perform? Waiting for more pics. Cheers !!!!!!!! Last edited by randeep04 : 26th January 2009 at 18:23. |

thanks it was a nice trail indeed, was challenging to some extent. Your observation regarging tyres is right as far as my jeep goes. Iam running on 235 HT bridgestone. I did a mistake, should have sourced NDMS 7.00 x16 somehow ![]() regarding the performace of trammways classic, without doubt it is one of the best performing SWB jeep. All the jeeps and gypsy's cleared the bund stage pretty well, though this section was really challenging. Mitsubishi L 200 struggled but could make it somehow. MM550 with BA 10 struggled due to its lower gearbox mounting and 15 inch tyres. SWB jeeps and Gypsys had least problem in clearing the bund thoough this required some tough manevouring.

P.S manpower was used as the gypsy got stuck where no other vehicle could reverse and position itself.
