What a day it turned out to be ! Lots of rain, 2 big-daddies for company (Nissan Patrol and TLC), a long drive through winding village roads/bad-roads, slush on the entry paths to the Palar river, no-go at two entry points and all off-roaders had to back off and start for the next entry point and finally the off-roading spot for the day was reached. TPC organisers and participants can confirm this....the off-roading spot looked like one of the SS of TPC 2009, right?

I had to drop off half-way thru', since I had to be home for lunch; so the videos/pics I have will be of the starting session of today's off-roading.

Unfortunately one of the MM540s got bogged down really badly in the river bed. Two big SUVs with 4200cc 6 cylinder diesel engines struggled to pull it loose. The SUVs themselves were getting bogged down because of their weight and the riverbed full of sand. It took hours to recover this vehicle. But thankfully we got it out and the owner was able to drive it back home after a push start.

Struggle to Rescue the Jeep continues.

Once the Patrol and TLC had pried the stuck MM540 loose we brought in another jeep to try to jump start it and eventually towed the stuck jeep with an MM540 and the Nissan Patrol in line. i.e The mm540 pulling the stuck mm540 and the Nissan adding pulling power in the front of the mm540 that was towing.

looks like you gys had a whale of a time.Will definitely be there in the next OTR with my jeep.
And my jeep is almost done.

Wow, amazing pics. So angry with myself to have missed Vinod's invite to attend this.

But I wonder if I enter my house all muddy and shoddy clothes, my wife will kill me

BTW guys, how do you all clean up this muck. I am not sure I will subject my 4X4 (whenever that comes) to all this I guess
