Seems good outing. Gurkha must have been a pleasant addition to the pool of jeeps. Awaiting more pics.

P.S- the terrain looks very similar to past numerous off roading done by NIOC.

1. The Gurkha is one formidable machine,...and do not believe if anyone tells you otherwise. However one can exploit its full potential only with time, and familarization (change a few variables and watch) !!
A newbie (2 month old owner) cleared the lions back (a 12 ft high near vertical climb) in the first try! This very obstacle was proving to be a challenge for many old timers as well. This alone speaks volumes about its capability. Let me put it this way,..being behind the wheels of the gurkha hugely increases your appetite for risk

2. Yes this is the behrampur trail and has been done before.
There are plently of first timers joining in (in this case Randeep, Kabeer, Rahul et'al),..and it helps if the terrain is familair to guide them accordingly.

I am new to NIOC myself and have so far visited 3 trails,..and I have been told there are new ones being recced every other month.

Cheers!

The fact that the Gurkha owner's wife drove the vehicle over the terrain with ease tells all about Gurkha. Bear in mind the Gurkha was running with tires on full pressure, that alone would put most vehicles out of commission. Also the slush was where the inexperience showed when momentum was lost due to being in the wrong range and the vehicle sunk in, that mistake wouldn't be repeated anymore as the owner is a fast learner and is not afraid to push his vehicle. By few OTRs there would be nothing and I mean nothing that would come close to him or his Gurkha.

Hey Guys it was gr8 fun for me, thanks to all present over there. Amit and Naveen really helped and Naveen guided me through...

This was the first time in my life when I used the 4wd lever. The feeling was gr8. The slush part was my fault as after me, Gurkha cleared the lake n number of times almost without effort, I guess Naveen was in the vehicle.

My wife drove the Gurkha in the trails and except for lion back tried everything with ease, and this was the first time she was driving Gurkha since it arrived home, and she found it better than Safari!

I am learning as "Gurkha" says I promise to be a fast learner!

Rahul,

It was good to see what the Gurkha does best. Next few OTR's and you shall have it going through the center of the lake.

For a first timer you did an amazing job.

Cheers !!!!!!!!!cheers:

0333, I am the one who needs educating
Being a newbie I think I am mixing up names given by NIOC to various terrains.

What is the highest climb at the behrampur sand pit called . That was the climb I was refering to. Why ? As I heard who was probably another Newbie calling it that.

Cheers !! Now why would anyone take offence to be corrected when wrong.

After seeing Vinod's video post I think I now know what the real Lions back was at behrampur !! My mistake.
To answer your question Vinod NO Sireeee!!! Just watching this video gives me vertigo !!!!!
