Anybody wants to go this trail and camp out there, good place for camping. posting some photos check out.

@Sha: This is a nice place. Looks some 200+ kms away from Bangalore though.

Which is this place BTW?

Its 6-7 hrs drive with 2 stops, the place is called Kodachadri hills.
One more place nearby to bangalore is hebbae falls its about 5 hrs drive.

These places are definitive week end trips. Good work Sha. We can keep these on our list for future trails to explore in the coming months. I am sure Khan must be very pleased right now.

Yes. let's keep in as a must visit place in near future for camping.

So the program for 1st March Sunday looks like:

OTR Trail: Savandurga Trail (off Magadi road)
Start Time: 6.30 am
Meeting Place: NICE/Magadi Road Junction
OTR End Time: 2.00 pm

Respecting Khan_sultan's suggestions of 5-6 vehicles only,can I join you guys to test my 4*4,if it is ready by then .Ofcourse,it'll require my driving all the way from Sakleshpur,which I'm willing to do.

Chandan, dont worry! you can get your 4x4 in place of mine, since i will not be able to make it this time as i will have to be in hyderabad at the same time .

Hi Sha,
we camped atop Kudachadri last year and it was fun.I wouldn't call it a real tough offroad though. The locals do the trail in 2wd MDI engine jeeps.

Its easy trail but scenic even I have seen jeeps doing in 2wd but they do not understand " ABC stuff" but once top on the hills it can be explored.

Its Kodachadri hills near kollur and its near to you place, there is temple on top of the hills, local jeeps ferry them to top. its very scenic once you are in top of hills.
