I'll be there in my Discovery 3! Bring it on!

That was a wish. I have never attended or taken part in On The Road oops Off The Road excursions.
But I would like to be a part of it. May be I can learn a thing or two about off-roading and buy a Jeep!

Any vacancies?

Guys, couple of points:

1. Please let us 4x4 owners co-ordinate first. We have yet to decide on the place. Most probably place is a 4 hour stretch a little ahead of Lonavla. Await further updates.

2. Since this is the first organised one where Team-BHPs are joining in, we plan to make it a relatively simple OTR. Think of a difficulty level = 6 / 10. The purpose of this drive is only to get the ball rolling (and not scare away first-time 4x4'ers with the terrain!).

3. Honestly, for this one 4 hour OTR, I don't think it makes sense for Goan BHPians to come down. However, if you still want to, more than welcome. I'd rather you guys come down for the Panchgani / Silvasa OTR which we are planning for the monsoons. That'll be hardcore stuff!

Hey you do need a JCB at times in Offraoding. I got stuck on an incline which had a 10ft fall behind and my tyers had got dug in, so coudnt move forward. Couldnt be pulled out as there was no space to adjust another Jeep in front or back.

Due to lack of a winch that day we called a JCB to dig and build a bridge at the back so the Jeep could roll back.

Amazing fun trying to retrive it from all different angles and then JCB finally. WOW !!!! Thats what is offroading all about.

Well i know what you are talking about..the reason why i wrote about the JCB was similar..the offroading group here in mumbai has faced a similar situation a number of times. check the last season thread for the pics.

I wish I had 4X4 on one of my car, specially the SX4 which has a good ground clearance.

GTO - Please make a tracker to keep a track of 4X4 vehicles enrolling for the even and then you can figure out a way to accommodate all non 4X4 members like me.

We can come down to Lonavala in our own drives.
