Thank you sir, some time soon will drive down a 4X4 Beetle.

Let me start.

1) The OTR was a great smash hit.
2) The participation was insane(We had almost 25 jeeps for the trial)
3) The best group that i've ever been in.
4) One of the most grueling and challenging trial.

All in all it was fun, i've enjoyed this OTR thoroughly, and this was the first OTR i've ever seen.

Guys with the Camera's,especially Mr MJothi, post pics pleeeeeeeze....

Hi! Suresh & Giri and all the other guys who had a hand in doing the event, A big thank you! Since it was my first 4x4 event. We had a great time and look forward to doing it every month, just hoped the sun was not in full blast as it was yesterday. But it was worth it, meeting all you guys and gals & yes the offroading was great.

Looks like we are going to have a horrible summer.

Hi Guys,

It was my first OTR and boy it was fun. A big thank you to Dwarak, Khan, Giri and all others for organizing such a wonderful event.

I have clicked few photos and videos on my mobile phone. Posting here the videos. Sorry for the poor quality.

This is the 1st obstacle, a steep climb. This Video shows the very first jeep (Red Classic) making several attempts. And our Khan_Sultan all excited and wanted make the climb, he is calling the orange Jeep driver infront of his gypsy to move so that he can go

The first 2 jeeps made to top after several attempts. Many guys felt that not many can make it to top. 3rd & 4th Jeep and 5th Khan's Gypsy made to the top in first pass. This really lifted the spirits up and everybody lined up to attempt that climb.

After i made to the top i shot few pictures and videos. This is our Sree climbing to the top

Two Endeavor's and couple of Scorpio's participated in the event. This clip shows 1st Endy making to the top. After couple of failed attempts by this Endy, Samurai-san gave valuable instructions to this driver. The person talking to Endy driver is Samurai.

After taking cues from the first one, The second Endy made to the top in first pass

I guess many more pictures and videos will come after our guys recover from the heat stroke

Cheers

Gowdre, the trial was too damn good and challenging we need more photos.

I was lucky enough to hop into $@~to$#'s 1955 LHD Petrol Willys. Too good to see the classic jeep clear most of the difficult obstructions so easily

Our Moderator Khan Sultan was cool as a cucumber, i felt that no obstruction is a challenge for him, his gypsy and him are one great combination:-D

And about others , what a team "Hats Off", everyone ensured everybody is safe and running fine.

This summer : ( , too damn hot . this was the only turn off. But the event was a smash hit.

Pavan i think this would have been a good test for your Willy's 1943 restoration if it was with you till yesterday.

Pavan reduce the smilies to 2

Ok. here comes the picture!!!

Man, it was my first 'recce' with almost 40 vehicles

The initial meeting point was on the Magadi road and when we (Me, Santhosh, Nanda, Murugesh and Pavan) reached it was so easy to find the spot. With 20+ vehicle including SX4 (Rahul & his friend). We say a hi-hi to all take a picture and start to - no not for the OTR spot - but start to wait for others to join. As usual, our Dwarak sir was with his list of names on paper, pen and mobile calling and getting the where abouts of the fellow participants.

Guess its safe to cross, no vehicle on the road!

Pics, Vids & Report : Savandurga Trail - Bangalore 4x4-img_8283.jpg

Since we had some more guys on the way to reach here, we decided to have our stomach filled with breakfast. We went to the near by restaurant had some idlis & coffee. The moment we came out, we see the rows of Jeeps crawling on the road. Great, we were out right time.

We follow the group with Santosh and his friends in the blue willys and me & pavan in his Beetle.

It was like a proud moment. Everybody passing by was starring at this yellow barbie. Some even took pics.

We could not keep a good speed since santhosh jeep had a very bad death wobble. So, see him driving off-the-road well ahead of the spot.

Damn with these guys, who asked to lay good roads here!!!

Pics, Vids & Report : Savandurga Trail - Bangalore 4x4-img_8288.jpg

Pics, Vids & Report : Savandurga Trail - Bangalore 4x4-img_8289.jpg

We reach a bus stand on the Magadi road and the road was completly closed. Couple of cars went back in different direction to by pass this. But our Pavan was so confident that his beetle will take is easy.

What's so great wiht your Horse Power, still you are back-off my leg power!!!

Pics, Vids & Report : Savandurga Trail - Bangalore 4x4-img_8284.jpg

Need to get the spot to put the shop before someone else do!!!

Pics, Vids & Report : Savandurga Trail - Bangalore 4x4-img_8285.jpg

For a moment we doubted if this was a new type of Speed breaker!!!

Pics, Vids & Report : Savandurga Trail - Bangalore 4x4-img_8286.jpg

Pics, Vids & Report : Savandurga Trail - Bangalore 4x4-img_8287.jpg

And yes he was correct. Then finally we all reached the TG halli spot and little further to that is the current OTR spot. From the main road, we need to take a left and reach the village. When we all gathered there, we found that Venky was still in Magadi road - nice road junction. People were trying all possibilities to provide a landmark to him to take this left SH 17E, house like thing, on a cement board and what not!!!

Seeing the Beetle Dwarak sir comes and tells Pavan to park it on the way and jump into some Jeeps.

Ok, all started again and we stopped next in the OTR spot only.

Why are you guys following me? I am already lost!
