JEEPTHRILLS thanks all the members who have brought the group into its 4th Year.

We welcome you to the 4th Anniversary Celebrations.

The Itinerary

28th March 2009
1000-1300 - Garage Session I - Chassis/Engine/Gearbox/Tcase/PTO/Differential
1300-1430 - Lunch (at cost)
1430-1730 - Winch/Suspension/Q&A
1800-2030 - Drive to Adventure Zone (Night Stay+Dinner+Breakfast+Lunch = Rs850 per head)

29th March 2009

0800-1230 - OTR
1330-1430 - Lunch
1530-1700 - Rapelling & Rock Climbing
1730 - Drive back to Chennai

Hi Folks,

The JT 4th Anniversary was cool and we had gala time. Here is the video clip of the OTR in palar.

To my knowledge Arka, Vinod and headers are the people from TBHP participated in the event.

The JT anniversary was great. It was my first technical session i attended and learnt some good tips on suspension setups as well as engine etc..

The Palar OTR was good too and we guys had a great time.

Sand is a terrain that stresses the vehicle to the max and brings out the best in the driver.

Siva, where are the pictures?

As I was busy offroading, I didn't click any pictures or few with my mobile phone. Sorry I missed to click your heroic action out there in palar. I will upload the incline angle picture that we took in this evening as it was downloaded to my home, that will show the 60-65degree slope you concurred.

I meant concurred (it means coincident) only, as we landed on a terrain (dry sand with less run on space for diesel engines to pickup the top speed) with you having a light weight petrol vehicle which is undoubtedly good in pickup in short time/distance.

Oh yeah.. you did conquered the slop yesterday.

hey guys,

Jeep thrills 4A OTR was a big success. I couldnt attend the technical session the day before due to family commitments but i made it to OTR. Will post my set of pics and videos soon. Was so tired yesterday that I couldnt upload pictures. Heat was killing!!

p.s I think we should name the palar trail as 'torture trail' as it tests the limits of machines and human's too!! Virtually every engine was overheating!!

Was the technical session recorded? If yes, how can people get access to that recording/DC/DVD?

Nothing like participating in person but a recording would be equally good/next best thing for people who couldn't make it.

Hello TBhpians,

On Saturday we had the annual Tech Sessions.

The following points were discussed in and Q&A session.

1) Differential/Axles/FFRA

2) Steering Angle/Caster/Camber/Toe

3) Universal Joints/CV Joints and Propeller Shaft.

I missed this session

Would have been a learning session with experts like Patrik sir, Arka, Headers etc. One must not go thankless to Md.Ali the technical support mechanic who is always there on every OTR to set if anything goes wrong!
