Hi Shahid,

I've started a new business venture, so don't have any time to run the forum any more... anyhow many people have expressed their interest in taking it over, so I've decided to hand it over to one of them. I guess the new owner should have it back up in a couple of days, but since I'm not involved in that process, I don't have any details as to future plans...

Cheers!

Yes he sure is, he's my chacha. My dad's first cousin. When you plan a trip to my hometown do inform me as I shall plan my visit the same time.

Cheers !!!!!!!

Sure Randeep, spoke with him when I went to visit our General Sahib, Rabindra Singh. He has invited me for an overnighter to Hissar. A Summer trip and of course I will go for some winter trips too after october. How about one in the 2nd weekend of July ?

Old thread, very old question ! Maybe somebody has answered it somewhere else ?
Yes, the Shaktiman could be driven on diesel, petrol, kerosene, and even alcohol, by resetting the advance/retard and the compression. But that was in the original MAN trucks renamed Shaktiman. The ones produced at Vehicle Factory, Jabbalpur, later did away with the variable compression and the spark plugs, so that they could run on diesel only. Similar 'value engineering' modifications are often done when adapting imported vehicles for local use.
