Arka

just correct the month on the first day.
looks very very exciting and interesting, if in town would love to make it.

Ah,
Time fly's!! Memories of last year event still fresh in my mind and its time again. 2008 event was very well organised and i expect it to be better in 2009. Looking forward to some good off roading experience.

People who wish to participate must keep thier engines and drive train healthy as complete 3 day event would be high rpm low gearing running. Would request people with modern 4wd's to join as this is open to all class of 4wd's.

p.s- Arka, i would request you to post some pics from old events to make newbies know what this event would look like. Further some narration about the techniques used or the highlight of the events across 4 years would make it interesting.

How far is this location from Bangalore? I am seriously thinking participating this year. Gettting babysitter is a concern though.

Not for sissies.
Whiners stay away.
I like that. The message is very clear. I hope there will be some modern 4WD this time so that we can have a comparo with our very own M&Ms.

Almost the distance to Chennai.

Really enjoyed your munnar and Kodai experiences through your travelogue. Not that I laugh at your difficulties, its about your first hand experiences with your jeep, decisions, guts, photography & your lovely writing. Do not forget to put up a travelogue :)

Hi guys, how far would Palar be from pune.

Approximately 1000 to 1100 kms.

Though it is a looooooooooooooong time away for now, but still, count me in. I know 2-3 days in sand & more sand & then some more sand may not be everyone's great idea for off-roading, but I want be part of TPC at-least once.

Cheers,

Trust me, one can never have enough of sand.

Can we have some details on the costs involved and the compitition itself?

I agree, one can never have enough of a terrain that one loves to off-road on -- this however can also be a personal preference (mud/slush over sand etc etc..)
