Regular? Wrong word dude. You just can't get enough of it. It's extremely addictive.
@Dippy: That was a pond that had dried and the only thing remaining there was mud. We did get stuck, which resulted in me stepping out in the mud ONCE AGAIN. Luckily this time it wasn't so bad, so, I didn't have to discard my shoes after the OTR. Didn't have to push the Jeep out. It managed to free itself after some effort.
Allan's effort at crossing the water was the funniest part of this OTR. Instead of taking the route GTO had taken, he decided to enter the water where he thought it would be best. The first few feet was easy and then suddenly the 550 had its nose in the water, pointing downwards at some crazy angle. Reversed hard with his heart in his mouth. Poor Shane must have been scared out of his wits.

Allan, GTO,

Please tell me where this location is, Mhape is enroute to my office. Since yeoor is not happening now, this seems to be a good location.

hey
Small observation guys, look at the damper on the steering linkages on these two setups. The one in the pic belongs to Arka. I think this is the right set up. On SPOA MM550, this is placed differently. Is this right? What could be the effects?

Some pics from my side:

Allan gotta keep the 550 this way itself. The current look is unbelievably purposeful

Subaru did very well on this backyard OTR. The limited slip saw it breeze through climbs that were low on grip

Looking for a spot. Note kids holding on & eager to see how obstacles were tackled

Strangely, the car in this pic reminds me of a snake! Anyone agree?

What a pic! Notice the Subaru through the ground clearance

Still searching.....

Took about 10 minutes of back & forth to get out. Luckily, it wasn't the ultra soft type and whatever path was made, stayed that way.

It was pretty hot. I put the doors & air-con on after 2 hours in the open.

It's funny how the li'l boy barely comes up to the level of the Jeep's hood!

Is it? Damn, We did think of calling you, but then figured that you lived too far away to come down for a 2 - 3 hour OTR.

My GAWD I have to go on one of these OTRs one day soon (as a passenger!).

That MM550 looks like it's WALKING down the rocks, one wheel at a time!! Beautiful!

Dear GTO, Allan & Drifter,
Superb pictures. Thank you very much for sharing it with all of us.
@Allan: 550 looks fabulous. I somehow love this WIP look
@GTO: Just inquisitive, so this question. This picture shows the articulation of a stock 550. If you compare this against Allan's SPOA setup, do you see a difference in terms of articulation as well or has it just increased the GC? I see an ocean of difference in Khan's Gypsy and was wondering if it would make a huge difference on a 550 as well.
Cheers,
Deepak

Will keep this in mind for the next OTR

Nope, I don't mean otherwise. Only in that particular pic, she looks like a snake hiding in the bushes.

Well lubricated Jeeps have awesome articulation in stock form too. I have a similar visual of my Classic, but it's on video. Will try posting a capture. How does a stock compare to Allan's SPoA job? Don't know yet, this OTR was very simple and didn't really have any tough spots.

But yes, the ground clearance alone is a huge advantage.

I just realised this morning that my Jeep's LHS rear plastic wheel arch was claimed by mother nature on this OTR. Compare the Jeep in the initial pictures to the one in the muck, I lost the plastic arch somewhere in between!
