Yes in front there are Marshal Venture M/T:

Marshal Tyres | Tyres | SUV

and rear and stepney its bridgestone desert duelers. This combination is working good for me.. though experts will never advice for different tyres for front and back, but only this combination was available.

Wonderful OTR, NIce pair of shoes, but iam seeing the inner wheel wells of the rear already rubbing against the tyres. This will damage the tyre and artticulation will suffer. Advise you to put spacers.

The Petrol Mahindra P2150 seems to have adopted used sand grips. Again with standard rims the it will foul with wheel wells during articuation. Also how does one manage spares of this engine (petrol peugeot)?? These are even rare that Hurricane engine?

Liked Alfa kilos jeep, nice paint job, but how do you get out of the jeep? The roll cage seem to hinder your way? But the front design is good, it will prevent you from being thrown out during extreme side slopes. The rear roll cage can be improved.
Hi Vinod, only on extreme artticulation the tyres rub otherwise they are ok, but I will go with ur advice and put spacers. What can be done when they hit body above?

The sandgrips on petrol jeep are from owner's another jeep.

What are the names and rides of the gentlemen in the other vehicles and bikes.

I guess you are coming here to Gurgaon on the 16th ?

If yes welcome, it would be a pleasure to see again.

WOuld you and your family like to stay at my farmhouse for the night ? It is just 3 Km from out meeting point ?
Hello Shahid, thank you very much, but this time we are staying with our reletives but in future i will surely stay at your farm.

Yogesh...though the tyres look good there isnt much you can do on tyres touching the wheel well above. Just recamber your rear leaf, this will only solve the problem temporarily and will be good for most situations but not every situation

I had 265 75 R 16 duelers on my jeep, i had the same problem. I simply changed the tyres for better performance. Now i run on 235/70 R 16. GC is reduced to a great extent but steering feels better, pick up is better and no damage to body or axles.

Jaipur ORT- 24 May

Yet another excellent OTR for us. Morning 5 AM to 1.30 PM. We did another river bed from Manoharpur to Amersar. This time 6 Jeeps/gypsys and many bikes. (Yes we are growing). Very few pics as most of the time driving.

I have started liking this dry riverbed racing. It is full of techniques. On turns you have to through your steering one side to turn the vehicle and throttle hard. The combination of overtaking, drifting and bumping is addicting. Additionally, on both sides we have nice features. We did a section of 21 kms to and fro this time and also conquered one sand hill and in the end a long stone wall to get out of the river.

Looks like you guys had a lot of fun. Great. Please give us your driving experiences on such terrain and what difficulties you faced, along with how did you remedy them. In the CJ3B video which says "Hard Climb" did the jeep finally make it to the top from that route? How did you manage that? Enjoy and keep the pics and report coming in.

Our taste is quite similar on this, I too like the same and I am sure Gypsy perfoms well for this kind of racing/rally.

@SirAlec: That grey 540 belongs to Dr. Daksh. Its an awesome vehicle. Serious ‘don’t mess with me’ looks. It has company fitted Peugeot diesel engine, original 4x4, 31-10.5-R15 Bridgestone Dullers AT tyres. Overall a great 4x4. Daksh told that he doesn’t have posting rights on t-bhp.

@V-16- Its always an action packed OTR for us on the riverbed. The experience is sort of rally style driving. These riverbeds are used by local villagers as shortcuts from one village to another. So almost everywhere there is a trail made by tyres of their vehicles. We use that for speed racing. First is, you have to maneuver well and fast to stay in it, second and most interesting are the turns, you have to tackle them without losing speed (infect putting up speed with tyres spinning and vehicle turning), now the hard part is occasional bumps in shapes similar to all existing and imaginable speed breakers. (On such one spot the engine mountings of the grey CJ3B broke and the engine fall off on the shaft, it was towed to Jaipur). My Jeep moves in 4x4 high in second or third gear.

Now you got to overtake if you get a chance. For that wait patiently for your chance and then hit the paddle. But it is similar to when you see one truck overtake another on highway, very slow (or depends on power difference of vehicles). Putting in words is a bit unexciting, but in reality it is fun.

In the Hard climb video, the red jeep is CL340, yes in the end of the video that made to the top. But the next blue jeep couldn’t make it from that climb. And afterwards the red jeep did it twice. Like all difficult climbs it take right combination of gears, momentum, approach angle and just a little extra push and you get through.

@Randeep & Desertking: Thanks guys.. Yes of course the gypsys have a real good time there. They have lot of things in their favor on the riverbed. But we jeepers jump on to the climbs and descend as soon as we see a nice feature.
