Hi Yogesh,

We were at Badshahpur track. We explored loads of new areas and have found this track to be amazing. The difficulty on this track with new areas found was HIGH even higher than Manesar which was uptill now considered track with very high difficulty.

We guys had an amazing time.

Hi Everyone,

Well today was one amazing OTR, I bet all who went will agree with me when I say that the Badshahpur trail is a never ending trail with loads to explore. I thank the NIOC mods who organized such a wonderful OTR and also GOD who was responsible to keep us cool while still at the OTR.

Please find pics attached.

Cheers !!!!!!!!!

Awesome pics. The Mahindra U.S Army jeep looks really Macho with broad kumho mud tyres . Ford willy's are better suited for these type of terrain as they have less weight and short body. how was the performance of black gypsy??

The Black Gypsy has at 1.7L Nissan diesel engine mated to the Gypsy King gearbox and transfer case. It performs well but is let down in sandy climbs by:

1 - Novice driver
2 - Highway tyres

Rest is all good!

Cheers

Now now Ankit please dont be so modest ya. The only drawback is the second point - highway tires. That too is not such a big issue as you you have never left an obstacle incomplete.

The Black gypsy is a true performer with an amazing engine.

Cheers !!!!!!!

Looks like you all had a good weekend outing and with weather god also on your side.

2 questions:

1. Any specific reason why the Jeep with Kumho Tyres has the tyre direction in front the 'other way round' ??

2. At one place in pictures it is seen that the left rear wheel of the Gypsy is in the air? At that point in time, did the Gypsy move or was the left rear wheel just spinning??

Hi Khan Bhai,

A very good observation I must say, I did not notice the front fires were fitted wrongly. I did observe that the tires were directional as mentioned on the spare tyre but failed to observe the front tires .

The Gypsy was able to move but we did not want to miss a photo opp so requested Arjun to jam the brakes while we clicked away.

@Tanveer, I think it would have performed quite well on a hill dash. But seriously I dont even that that pic on my laptop, where could it possibly have come from? Spooky i'd say.

Cheers !!!!!!!

According the pics, gypsy was struggling with the incline's..is it because of the engine weight or just the tires.
Well, i won't consider the driver novice especially after the 3 legged gypsy

Thanks a Ton, Fellow Jeepers,

Its a team work which counts. Each and every one was a big support in his own way and made this OTR a success. The First thing in the morning, we got a sms from Harjeev that if the OTR was ON as it was raining in Delhi? I jumped out of my Bed and dashed to the window to see if it was raining in Gurgaon. Rain is the best thing which happens to an OTR. Yes the weather, the track, the whole jeepers group was amazing and we had a great time. This track is not to be missed in the rainy season and we are definitely going to have an OTR on the 15th Aug 2009 ( Saturday) to thank Laxman who first explored this place for us on 15th Aug 2008.

Thank you Randeep, Harjeev and others for great pic's.

Thank you all for your support.

Cheers
