Do you guys usually do the trips on a Saturday? I have to plan a three day trip. One day to get there and relax, offroad the next day and drive back the third day

That would be great and even few folks from Bangalore would be interested. Let's plan something along these lines.

Is there some place near this trail where people can stay? or do people have to stay in Mumbai/Lonavala/Pune?

To reiterate the outline by DKG:

Friday: People start from whatever place and reach the place of stay by friday evening/night
Saturday: Full day off-roading
Sunday: Drive back

@pdev/Mumbai gang: work something out guys.. It can be an event where people from Goa/KA/AP/MH come together and have 4x4 fun

dude please let this be purely for 4X4 thread i would request you to start the bike thread in two wheeler section.

no offence.
Really sorry for getting the bikes in between..will take off the bike pics and let the monsters stick around

The LC owner was the same gentlemen I met on last Sunday where we both aborted the venture. Well I did ask him abt the flat tyre- he had no idea of how his tyre had folded up at the rear.

Yeah we did have fun...I love that yellow Gypseeeeeeeee. Is that owner here on T-BHP?

There are many places near by this trail where people can stay (Lonavala is the closest. 17 km), you guys can confirm your plans and i will get the mumbai gang ready.

That's good to know. What would be approximate costs of stay at these places? remember we off-roaders don't have deep pockets but still would like decent enough places to stay.
Assume a mix of family + bachelors staying and sharing the costs of stay.

We will need help from you on this aspect of finding such places to stay + logistic support

Best way I think is to put in 2-3 possible weekends and see who all want to participate and then choose an appropriate weekend. Any suggestions?

I would prefer the weekend of August 29th or weekend of Sept26th.

Offroad September 26th
Offroad September 27th
Return travel September 28th

Shahnawaz we could also camp in the wilderness Saturday night. Plan a barbecue !!

Hi Maha Off-Roaders,

Lovely terrain!!!! Fantastic machines.

How about a annual Mud-Hill Climb Event (competition)

2 Days of off-road driving in the Lush green Western Ghats.

Regards,

Arka

@pulserage, the yellow gypsy owner is not on tbhp, he is a friend of mine. Lc owner is from pune, this was his first experience with hardcore offroad.

@shahnawaz,dkg,dwarka
Guyz I can surely work out on a good.deal for stay. But I think september will be little late because its not raining here so the terrain may not be that great if its doesn't rain at all. Can't you guys plan something in this month? Prepare a list where in you need help from my side I will try to sort it out.
