Also, after Rajmachi why dont we spread our wings a bit and look around for some new trails in around bombay and pune.

I know a few promising places, it would add a little variety...the spice of life!

@motocamp, dude we dont mind trying out new trail but after rajmachi all the other trails are pretty simple. If you know any place which is atleast as good as rajmachi we can surely try it out.

I know of a trail near panshet dam Pune, it is roughly 15km long 2 years ago i went down this trail when it wasn't too wet and I think it would be as good if not better than rajmachi.

A trail near lavasa pune is also 12-13km and very hardcore, very very soft mud.

I am probably going to Harishchandragad next weekend if that does not pan out i am game for Rajmachi!

Lavasa has some deadly trails. But the problem is that Lavasa will not let you freely roam around without doing Natak!!

No, this trail has nothing to do with the Lavasa project..it starts before you start the climb up the ghat road to lavasa.

Hi OTR fans,

It's nice that there's none-to-little policing of trails that OTR fans use for off-roading, in our country.

But we must realise that 4x4 usage on wet soil (or any soil for that matter) is likely to cause erosion.

Could we please tread lightly ? Please have a look at Tread Lightly - Home , Tread Lightly - Responsible Four Wheeling and Tread Lightly - Hummer’s Recreation Rescue ... so that we enjoy ourselves responsibly.

Cheers,

FourWheelDrift

Shahapur may be a better place for off-roading as Mahindra is holding current Mumbai chapter of Great Escape there on 12th July 2009.

The trail looks good in the pictures. Nice green and scenic, would love to drive around this countryside with a light rain on! I love the topography of the Western Ghats.

@Pdev

I have a question regarding the yellow gypsy.

How did he fitted the mudzilla on a gypsy?, any feedback regarding lift or SPOA and what else modifications were done.

its not a SPOA setup, lifted by extending the sharkel (dont know if that is the right word) and bending leaf springs.

Devang,

You folks have a great terrain for the monsoon. Was it slippery this time too?
How did the machines perform.

@Dwaraka,

It was slippery and its going to be worst from now onwards.

so far machines are performing well, but that one stretch which can see in the videos its kind of difficult for everyone.

for Gypsies its ok because of light weight and peppy engine, but rest of the vehicle have to struggle hard to get there.

OT :- are you running 1.8 isuzu in your gypsy?
can you PM some information about the setup and give me the link if you have a writeup on it.
