This is the punchline! There is no point in getting excited if this one also turns out to be an 'export-only' vehicle.

Well looking back at Mahindra's history -
Mahindra Bhaiah, Indian chief (MWB) etc was launched way back abroad in 1990 but later came to india in 1997 in the form of classic. Mahindra Getaway which was launched in 2005/2006 in south Africa later made it to Indian soil in 2008. Mahindra Bolero PIk up with IFS and power steering in south africa first and in India a little later as Camper Gold albeit with different engine and front suspension setup. So, there is a trend of Mahindra launching it abroad and back in India later. There are very few models that never made it to India, specially the ones with high power petrol engines and few with renault diesel engines. Our market wasnt ready for those models.

so if there is a new 4x4 in making for export market then it must make it to india sooner or later.

Thanks Dhrishikesh. I hope they've covered some of the tougher patches. About 15 minutes after I set off on my own, a camera guy (who was bored until I got there) grabbed some good shots of my Jeep. Do youtube the vid if you receive access to it.
