i felt MGE was very safe event. the tracks were wide and most of the tracks were unnatural and made them as safe playground. saw vehicles getting stuck in a flat slushy ground. felt it was only JEEPing but no THRILL. where as somwarpet otr had many risks of damaging the vehicle/urself if one is not over cautious. Was watching you coming down hill, it was just like a snake crawling left right.. one wrong step, you are down the hill..
wasn't this THRILLing?

fyi:the other side is deep ditch of 20-30ft height, though not visible in pic.

hi, just came back from the MGE in Coorg, reached pretty late ( @2.00) in the morning, due to the pathetic condition of The Goa Managlore Road ( shame on the corrupt Government and Contracters)
the event was well organised no doubt, but as Hari Singh had suggested to me the previous night the track was a lot 'Softer' compared to last year, and yea the track was soft no doubt but only for the 4WD, and i on my side didnt see any 2Wd vehicles in the Lineup. they could have made our live miserable, had they "reversed ' the track. i-e, if they had started the dirt track where they had enden it, the climb would have been tough for 1st timers. feeling sleepy now, but rest assured shall give a complete photo-log of the event soon. YAWN,
hey by the way was Samurai there???

Heard that the Coorg MGE was tougher than the Goa one. At least one difficult water crossing and hill descent. Also heard about a drunk driving accident on the trail, details are not clear though.

whitemm550: I couldn't go anywhere, got stuck due to some work. Sachin attended the event, didn't you see his military looking MM550?

i am sorry, i didnt see that one, yea the MGE Coorg was much tougher the MGE Goa which was a big farce, and actually a embarrasement to Goan 4WD fans. thats the reason we travelled all the way to Madikeri thats 1000kms up and down in 10 jeeps, thats crazy!!! and yea like the Coorg spirit, the Goan spirits are right up there
about the crunken incident, we did have a couple of hiccups with some guys who were enjoying the event in threir own ways, they were dancing, singing and drinking, maybe some guys were affected that guy you were talking about, actually went straight into the ditch and almost off the hill, i was watching him climbing and sliding from the top of the hillock, must be a blessed one, because something saved him from toppling over, just like one of Our Goa jeeps had slid off and saved by a small tree on the track last year. anyways everyone has their own ways of enjoying.
