Munzerabad Off-Beat drive 2009

Hi friends just back from Sakaleshpur after having full fun of a well Organised OTR by Munzerabad club, this is the first time by our team to participate in this event, taking the entry to the event is a big issue contacting local friends every day discussing over phones don't know how many friends helped us in this process at last by 13th evening fellow BHPian Chandan called and confirmed our Entry,

Its really good event good marshals, great terrain, challenging to all most all participants, a good number of participants made it really a enjoyable day.

One more Awesome OTR from past two weekends just playing with slush. Munzerabad OTR was just like Drill, had lot of fun met many offroading friends.
Few Highlights of OTR

1)Suzuki Grand Vitara completed full OTR trail hat off to the owner.
2)One Gypsy with 1000CC completed full trail in 2WD with pushing and winching.

Photos will follow with small brief report...

You should keep CJ in garage for a while and fully use the potential of GV . With AT tires it can perform much better but with good driver.

Mystery vehicle photos are already posted. it's nothing but Golf cart vehicle with 4WD option. Need to appreciate the design and performance of the vehicle but it does not feel like driving 4WD.

Excellent Viji. Given a chance I would like to participate on this event next time. What a beautiful terrain, the machines and muscles would have been taken for a ride. Great one.

How many total participants and what about the obstacles ? post more pics please

Amazing OTR season for the past few weeks down here.
Excellent terrain.

Unfortunately i couldn't make it to the show. But, my jeep was taken there. Guess what? It did all the terrain with the sandgrips on.

Driven by my friend Dr.Sanjay an old time rallyist. He had nothing but one thing to say. The event is so wonderful that he is now hooked on to the OTR's than the rallys.

Chandan's place is beautiful. Brought back old memories of last year's sakleshpur OTR.

Great going guys.

Regards,
Krishna.

Why do people take a Vitara for stuff like this. I guess even a Safari/Scorpio will end up being pushed by people like Vitara.

JKDas,

Question is questioning the ability of the vehicle. Under slush all 4 WDs will struggle. Vitara had stock tyres which are non performing on slush. else every 4 WD is capable in its own way. Vitara is big brother of gypsy, a capable offroader, I hope you would concur.

Samurai can enlighten us on Vitara's performance and suitableness in such terrain

Safari 4WD will perform well in such circumstances. But doubts are about Scorpio.
