The safaris weren't bad either ! It's just that I wasn't a good enough driver! Anyways, tinkering and everything done: 4k for the whole job! I hope to get it some time again later without telling my wife .

Why are you thinking like this? You'll learn as you go.
Trust me, a week ago I tried Khan's spider at the same spot and since then I'm thinking of.. Ok, never mind.

What was the damage? My cladding was ripped out + running board welds cleanly broken off during Thippagondanahalli last November - cost me Rs 200 to get them welded again at Prerana OMR.

What cost 4K to fix?

Thank you . I did have a ball of a time. Tried sticking around for some time and "watch" the OTR but could not hang on for long. Had to do some 2WD off roading. Good fun.

The RR/LR owners are pushing their luck. There's a high likelihood of damaging those cars. What's the point of attempting terrain meant mainly for swb vehicles? Those are such fine machines and damaging them would be so . I guess to each his own !!

The gypsy's rear overhang was the culprit.
In the last climb from the trench the bumper would scrape through some packed mud.
The mud had a clay like consistency.

OT. I guess another 4x4 is finding a home.

I agree with DKG, off roading those machines does give me a heart ache.

The gentlemen were really cautious and backed off as soon as they smelt trouble Only LR got into lil trouble when it grounded the running board, on its second attempt in the reverse direction. RR had a very minor crack on rear bumper (i heard owner has already ordered an alternative for this) and one of the tail pipe ate some mud.

But man that 4.6 liter burble is a thing to die for

The painting of the bumpers/fog lamps were broken which was changed/ bumper/cladding changed.

please don't ask me why I had to get the painting done, which costs the most..

I was just kidding man ! But frankly speaking, I was surprised by the way the stock truck behaved. It is not that bad. I can't compare it to a MM or Gypsy but it was more than enough for me to actually try out a lot which I don't mind. The torque is good but pretty less than the 3L Dicor which I drove in some slush along with my friend (I got the 3L from concorde when my truck's chassis was getting changed).

@hrag: I still haven't got the invoice. Once I get the break up I will put it on here!
@Krishna: Thanks for the pics .
