1st Nov OTR (Pearl Valley) -- Bangalore

With lot of interest for offroading, I bring you the good news. Not last minute but a fortnight in advance.

1st November being a public holiday in Karnataka on occasion of Karnataka Rajyotsava, we are planning OTR at Pearl Valley off Anekal.

As usual start off from IIM-Bangalore on Bannerghatta Road at 6.30 a.m. and return by 3 pm latest.

MANDATORY (For ALL Vehicles)
-----------------
1) Drinking water - 2 ltrs (per person)
2) Tow Rope with D Shackles - Nylon 4 tonner/6 mtrs or steel wire rope of 6 -9 mtrs. - a must in every 4 WD vehicle.

Necessities:
----------------
Short Snacks
Radiator water
Tools and spares

Desirable:
------------------
High lift jack - at least 2 in the gang
Winched jeep- a Previlege

Lastly , team work as always plays game

Please start confirming.

Guys, Please plan to bring in a few extra liters of Diesel (each) in a jerry can and a Funnel. This is from the thippa' experience.

now with all this excitement in OTR's, i can sit down and fret. I have a puny alto but i'd like to join for the drive. i can foresee only 2 options:

1. drive upto pearl valley in my car and join you guy's for the rest of the drive.
2. team up with fellow BHpians with 4X4's from IIM B'ghatta rd.

what do you guys suggest?

Hi,

Take an auto to IIM -Bangalore or tag along with some jeeper/gypsyer from nearest place.

, Thippagondanahalli experience was one of it's kind. However your suggestion is truly in spirit and must to top up the tank instead of carrying fuel. Can and funnel, pipe surely save the day.

What time it starts and what time it ends? You can tell us from the time everybody meets.

I know it's difficult for you to put a clear time frame. But assume a time line if nobody gets stuck.

Rudraji,

We can plan for that too, if atleast 6-8 people are there. Three tents, sleeping bags, bonfire, jacketed potatos, beverages, food for the night. I am game.

OTR to start at 8 or 9 am and conclude by max 3 p.m. Terrain is okay and we will have recovery gears for sure. Followed by late lunch and refreshments, you know what I mean

This is somthing really exciting happening now. I would like to tag along with any jeeper. I only have a RX with me.

BTW, Can i get my RX for the OTR?

Sure you can tag along with anybody. if you want to bring your bike, its your call. You need to park the bike nearby and hop in

. Hope some one can accommodate me in their vehicle or better still, I could do the OTR on my Bullet.

The last time this happened, the SAFARI was banned. I think it was the Savanadurga OTR. Guess SAFARIs can tag along this time round?
