I do not know what made you think this as a necessity, Till date i never felt so. May be a few occasions where some loses Diesel due to an unforeseen Fault. Even on much loger trails also none of us had any issues. Jammy once took around 2 Liters of Diesel from me, But that was due to a linkage in fuel line. After all we are not driving in a RFC or Desert Storm

Dwarak Sir, Tentatively confirmed, Sreeraj Unnithan 9686033998, MM550 XDB

PS: Currently not taking applications for seats as this is a tentative plan ;-) As of now i am alone in my Jeep.

Thanks

I doubt if 2WD can tackle this terrain. It would definitely be a bad idea to bring one for this OTR.

For the path details, do check out a similar title thread, of an OTR that was done some time back.

Sree - You (indirectly) made me think so...

After the recovery attempt of your jeep (lake+bird watching+photo shoot) by Swastikviji, he forgot to fill in a few liters. then he came into the trail and got perched at a abrupt angle and his fuel pump was sucking air from the top of his tank

Without a jerry can, pipe and a pepsi-bottle-funnel, he would have never made it out.! So all you jeepers' - come into the OTR with 3/4 tank of diesel.

Count me tentatively in

Baburaj CJ 340 - 9986661582

I really want to come for this. But depends on many things. Had planned a trip to Kerala. Looking to juggle it a little bit. Hmmm my office have to allow me some leaves.

I hope this will not be like TG halli for me.

passenger doors are still not open . But after confirmation will definitely have 2 seats.

This is a news to me. Who did the ban on whose safari? was it 2 WD? If yes, fine

Dwaraka sir, you planning to come back from same route or cross the valley to other side and return? If cross over and drive through, then how would people who have driven till the OTR spot come back -- unless they plan to walk back again to where the cars are parked

Lot of people on bikes and cars coming down to provide group support; me think drive back the same way would be better. Else everyone has to be dropped back to the starting point by the respective hosts.

Last time didn't we discuss that we should do it in the opposite direction? and also the other end is blocked by a piece of private land and if there is some cultivation happening, then we have to return back in the opposite direction. and why allways the same spot? we must explore some other spot there.
