Delhi / NCR Night OTR Oct 24 ( NIOC )

NIOC will hold the next Night OTR in Gurgaon area ( Behrampur trail ) followed by a camp fire and barbecue at the Lake.

Posted by Sarviinder Singh we have the following confirmations so far :

Dear Jeepers,

We will have the next Night OTR as follows :-

a) Starting Point : DLF Golf Links Gate.

b) Starting Time : 4.00 p.m., Saturday, October 24, 2009

c) Route : Behrampur route and Bar be que at the Lake.

We should be back by - 11.00 PM or a bit later.

Following Jeepers have confirmed :-

1) SLS Mod.
2) RBS Mod.
3) Arjun Khanna
4) Sanjiv Singh
5) Amit bajaj
6) Pushkin Ahuja
7) Samil Malhotra
8) Shahid

Note - It can get cold in the evening, an hour after sunset. Carry a light sweater / jacket / parka / top and a cap / hat with you.

Is the route good for SUV's??

I have been to this route, and it has lots of rocks + sharp thorny branches.
Its the regular route NIOC does, but at night. I think they go to some lake thingy, we had gone there long time back in a jeep after parking the safari near a temple

Yes most SUVs can make it, come and join the fun.

Catering is being done by Arjun Khanna, let us have the exact numbers joining.

A quick report - no pictures.

Decided to join in at last moment and turned up at DLF Gold club entrance. Was surprised to find no one there. In came a call that they are all at Signature tower. Rush in there to catch them as they are just leaving in a convoy.

Went to area behind GoldenGreen GC. The last spell of rains has meant that there was water in the ponds behind the dam.

The jeepers rushed in with glee spinning their tires through slush to get on with job of conquering the hill straight. In the meanwhile the passage through such was blocked with a struck Bolero 2x4. Once that was cleared Arjun took his Prado through and then also did the hill climb.

There was a Honda 90cc quad that also was interesting to watch as the young man astride it went up the hill and then down.

While all this was going on Gypsy's and MM's were trying out various routes to reach the hill top and gained success after some doing.

With the ligh fading it was time to head to Behrampr for BBQ. However some mechnical problems with a MM workhorse and puncture of Prado (after all it was carrying most of the food) delayed the whole convoy.

So the leaders (ahem!) decided to do create an adhoc biovuac with all cars parked in a circle (laager style) and BBQ pit was set up in the middle. A brand new Gypsy deck served as 'refreshment' center while coals were slowly coxed to glow hot.

Lots of actions and side actions kept happening till Chef Arjun annouced food ready. Suptuous menu included pork, meat, chicken, vegetable, rice, daal, kulcha's & chutney's. Sorry if missed something here.

It was chilly under half moon sky and around ten pm as the moon went over the horizon the party was wound up to three cheers.

A real fun meet even though I kept my GV clean by not venturing across the slush.

Sudev many times user changed gallery settings. Secondly, you need to be logged in to facebook to see IMG link. So lots of members who are not facebook members will not be able to see this image.
Its better to "upload" the picture to tBHP itself, otherwise a small percentage of members will be able to see the pic
