I still have family back in Sri-Lanka, my parents even did their early schooling there. If there is one thing we must know about Sri-lanka is that everything is an import. The local economy is primarily centered around agriculture (tea, spices) and tourism, and this is their primary produce.

Rest all they import. Which means they have the best of cars and off-roaders alike.

The government also does not have any restrictive duties levied to discourage imports. Hence my dear friend,..sri-lanka may be a small country but they beat us fair and square when it comes to gear and equipment .
