Off Road with Jeep Guru UBS...

I am glad to share with you that UBS was on leisure trip to my town with his family and stayed here for two days. On 30th Dec, he managed to spare some more time for us. Me and Somu (having CJ3B with Toyota 1C engine and 2WD) reached to UBS's hoted at 6.15 AM to pick him up. It took us 15 minutes to reach at our favourate off road site Arna. We discussed about the Jeeps for almost half an hour and than we started our off road drive. UBS was impressed by the tarrain and he said to come back to that place to spend one full day.

PS :: He also took a test drive of my Jeep and was impressed by the response of my power steering set up.

Here are a few pictures...

Thanks! Naren for sharing. Well i have seen them in orkut too.

Sir was very happy with the terrain. He told me that there are awful lot of good offroading trail in Rajasthan, but very few enthusiasts.

hope we change that in future.

Yogesh was here with his family, stayed at a camp desert resort in Osian. I joined him yesterday morning and did a bit off road. Dune climbs, sand bashing and even paragliding. Here are photos and a video.

Wow, you are really having fun in the desert. How did the GV perform in the sand compared to the Jeep? Your Jeep really looks hot, by the way.

You are a lucky man to have UBSji visit you and give OTR tips in person.

First I must thanks Naren for quick and nice arrangements for our trip and the lovely OTR. The terrain was simply amazing. Pics on this thread dont do even half the justice to the actual experience.

Samurai, there is no comparison. After the first dune climb the GV would simply not clear the next one. Even after trying several times. Whereas the Blue Gun was floating all over the place. Finally I parked it there and took ride with Naren and boy this machine is something. Low gear 2 or 3rd gear full RPM and no dune could stop it. Of course the drivers skills are also to be appreciated as it is very important to find proper path to rave up the engine and build speed before hitting for the highest part of the next Dune. So thumbs up for the driver and his machine.

Will post my pics soon.

Now the real action next day morning. I got my first pic when I got down after getting stuck royally after the sand bath in the video above.

Did the rescue and parked GV there on top of that dune. Then all the fun in Blue Gun. The terrain was awesome and quite challenging.

Then we raved high at the dunes for about 1 hour and i was amazed to see the performance of 540 which made everything look so simple.

After that it was time for Paragliding. I did not try but was good experience of listning and learning the basics. My views are paragliding and offroad goes well with each other and the basics are very similar too.

Then to end it all after paragliding and after coming down we did few speed runs to the dune wall in hope to climb but it was a bit too tall for it. So got us pictured in the middle. Good fun.
