I hope we have excess of slush & water this time. Should be fun, and that means time to get the snorkel ready :-)

Arjun driving from chennai for your first OTR is great but i guess you should play around in nearby locations man. Can be very tiring for you driving down so i am suggesting this

Well i had been to this homestay which is in kakkabe and had a good experience. They had snorkelling, rock climbing and kayaking and canoeing. The road upto the resort was itself not very good which was fun as i had been on my jeep.

Guess the hill climb would be to choma kund most probably. This was where samurai had gone with jammy after the coorg OTR event.

Seems like fun guys. Start your engines

PS: ANy details on where the hill climb is?

Arjun, It will be atleast 4 day trip for you. But it will be worth every km you drive. Leave Chennai on saturday and reach bangalore by evening and relax for saturday night. Sunday morning you can join us and we will be leaving to coorg in convoy. we will be reaching coorg by evening. Monday will be the OTR. again we will be leaving coorg on tuesday morning or by afternoon and reach bangalore by evening or late night. @maddy: i dont think it will be choma kund for the OTR. But we guys will definately drive to choma kund.

Arjun
You could drive to bangalore (364 kms Chennai - Sriperumbadur - Chittor - Kolar - Hoskote) or 371 kms Chennai -Tambaram - Kanchipuram bye pass - Hosur) and from there take the Mysore road to Coorg (181 kms). Total running time 5 hrs + 3 hrs

arjun darling,
please as i have advised you earlier ,please rush and go for some otr's as a co passenger first,
get the feel of things, the techniques, the risks involved.
our vehicle is super well equiped, all it lacks now is the drivers experience.
id humbly request you, to get in touch with vinod. get some tips, drive along with him
and then take your beauty out alone
believe me youll appreciate her more.
too much power in the wrong hands is not a good thing
then again we have build this vehicle to conquer all terrrain
so stop using her to get woman in chennai , and rather spend that time gaining vital experince off the road,
im also trying my level best to come to coorg,
just adjusting christmas dates

regards

Allan

Hey Shishir,
I know that Shahnawaz is going and he knows and has seen my offroading prowess (the less said, the better ).
There are some very basic things like where to use which low ratios, atleast i should have an idea, which i should learn. So, am asking Swastikviji if it is possible that i register for the event, join everybody with my Gypsy till Coorg and for the off-roading trail, sit next to one of our members who own a Gypsy (mostly stock is what i mean ), see and learn the basics from them on this trail. Will update everybody by evening.
Cheers,
Deepak

Starter,
I don't think people will be having problem for this. They will acomodate you IMO. Anyhow some of them require someone to push the OTR vehicle from the slush.
