Guys you need to leave bangalore early if you want to go Chomakunda, from virajpet it will take 45 min+ and reaching 5 pm is bad idea, last time i visited alone and my Gypsy got stuck but eventually came out so be prepared for recovery.

Deadly photographs Sha, you are right about 5PM being too late. That assumes nobody will get stuck. Not true in this terrain. We should start at 2PM towards Choma Kunda.

My trip report for Choma Kunda is here: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/4x4-ex...nda-coorg.html

Uncle, you should have courage, not fear. check the thread name . There will be no fun if we go and come without getting stuck. and you went alone, but we have a recovery vehicle, service vehicle and also recce vehicle with us. We also have camping gears. if it gets dark, then we will be doing night OTR .
Anyways 5pm is the worst case timing what we have planned. We will be there atleast 1hr before the planned time.

Spending the evening at chomakund is what we wanted.

Looking at the terrain, i seriously doubt if can take this terrain with my 4 months old and 4 year old girls. That too in a Gypsy which i never drove off the road.

Thanks
