Dear Friends :
Some of our pals were leaving for the GMC and had requested to keep a 15 day gap in between, so the closest date was 18th and 19th.

I am planning an OFFROADING INTENSIVE hereafter referred to as OI.

The OI would take you through dense vegetation , sand ,rocky,mountainous terrain and slush.

We call it intensive because we will go through all of this in a span of one and a half day without the usual rest and sleep.

THE CLOSEST WE (R.O.C.K) CAN MAKE THE OI HAPPEN IS ON 18TH/19TH.

I see many inconvenienced by this date and why not?

So lets reschedule again; to whatever dates fits the majority.

Personally I visualize the OI happening in this way:


You guys make it on a Friday night..ALIBAG:-slush around till you get beached..then move on at night to a close-by mountain and do some very serious off-roading (Allan bro get a spare front axle,you may need it....ok ok I too have one spare for the Gurkha) reach your shack to rest.

Next (SATURDAY) day-leave to Murud..be with nature on the wilderness trail and have food en-route near a dam.

Continue the trail which would end late evening.

Refresh and Reboot at the hotel.
Then we split up in 3 teams...(TEAM A) opts to call it a day,around the camp-fire with food and water,some masti...
( TEAM B) Which I will lead; to a private beach: a long stretch of treacherous sand on which we offroad and see who does better. Late night swimming wont be allowed.
(TEAM C) lead by Prakash who will reach the forest and be your guide(and perhaps your saviour)for some adventurous night trekking in the forest.Do take your night vision cameras.

TEAM A AND B converge back to the hotel late night.
Have a nap and leave for sweet home in broad(SUN)daylight.
You reach in time,you have enough time to download your pictures and you sleep well.

The above plan calls for some serious re-thinking of your schedules.

So need opinion on these issues:

1. Should we include Friday evening?
2. If the date 18th or 19th isn't convenient for many what further date?

Lets do Jan 7(evening), 8 & 9. This shud hopefully work for most of us, after xmas and new year and in time for my readied gypsy
