Its drizzling and thundering in Alibag.
Its also vacation time and the place is teeming with tourists.
In my early post I had mentioned that Wednesday is the latest I should know for confirmation of stay.
Looking at the list on wednesday I booked 3 tents.

Now we have the following list:

Saturday+Sunday

1. Allan (Gypsy?)+1
2. Mohan (Gorkha / Nissan Patrol)+?
3. Ibrahim (Gypsy)+?
4. Alok +1 Guest (Gypsy)
5. Tejas (Mahindra Classic)+?
6. Soumya (Innova - only on the road)+?
7. Paras (passenger)
8. Devang (Gypsy)+?
9. Hussain (Willys or Kaiser) +GF?
10.James (Whicked Wheels) +1 Allan i am riding with you if thats not a problem.
11.Prashant (Cloud Chaser) (Pajero)+Wife
12.David (davids4x4mm550) (as passenger)
13. Pinkybhai (Gorkha)
14 RT GTr +wife.
15 Rhandle+ friend(being put up at another place)

So we are 16 gents and 5 ladies.
The shack has 3 tents with a capacity of 5 each.
The management will allow us to put up another tent.
Soumya and Paras has a tent ,please get it.
So we can squeeze ,5 each in tent .

Anyone else who wants to join cannot be accommodated in this staying arrangement.
However they can stay put up at other places. Being Saturday and Sunday its premium time and charges are hefty.

I finally take this list as final and pay up a full advance for 20 members.
(Rs 300 per head--NIght stay,mattresses,fan,Dinner-Non-Veg,early morning breakfast and Tea included. Fluids not inclusive).

Regarding the itinerary I will post the details soon.

I have a 4 man tent and a few sleeping bags. Will try to arrange for 1 more tent, will give a confirmation tomorrow.

@Tejus: Nice Stickers.

We should decide a name for Western India 4X4 Club so that by next OTR we can print stickers with a club logo. probably we can start a new thread for name suggestions.

I have a 2 person tent. Will bring it but Prashant's 4 person looks more roomy and should be used as the extra tent for calculation.

My 2 cents:

WIND (offroad) Club

Western India - New Dares

Western India Now Dares

or something like that. or we can search more interesting words with N and D or use 'N' as And.

Our Pune friends will feel left out. Also there are people from Thane, and other western region. Plus we would have political parties protesting to change the name to MUMBAI.

We can have a discussion regarding our Club on saturday night.

Now let's take a scenario:

WIND has become a huge and popular organization and we are being covered by national television. The national reporter is saying, "As you can see in the background, WIND is passing..."

Sorry Vetoed!

Go to ACE Acronym CrEator - generate your own acronym! for creating acronyms.

Stickers are ready.

On another note: C'mon guys, do you really think i'm gonna shunt surgical patients around? This one was an elective aesthetic surgery and the patient was requested if he wanted to do it on friday! Ethics are ethics!

WINDS sounds good, what about

WIMS - Western India Motor Sports, in this case it will cover all our future prospects also. like if we want to organize any rally, race etc.

Cheers!

Alok
