@genesis: Wonderful writeup and pics. You complete your story first then we can post our pictures.

@Motocamp: Amazing Pics.

It was a wonderful OTR, Thanks to Dr. Mohan and his friends for organizing the event.

Getting stuck in the slush and then seeing so many people who were just strangers till half an hour back working so hard to get you out of it was an incredible experience for me and my wife. We witnessed every possible recovery equipment (as mentioned by “genesis”) known to mankind. My wife was scared and worried as one by one the equipments were failing to get us out. Dr. Mohan assured us then that he would get a tractor if nothing works. Finally Kunals Manual Winch did the job.

A big Thanks to everyone who worked hard to get my Pajero out of that Slush ditch. I will post some pictures which have I clicked while being stuck inside the stuck Pajero later.

I also had a puncture on my way to Mumbai on the same wheel with the broken bolt. Me and David had managed to fit the new hydraulic bottle jack and lift the Pajero for a wheel change, that’s when James entered the scene and changed the tier in 5 mins, we might have taken much more time to do the job. Thanks James.

The third startling experience at the OTR was with Behram Sir. Thrice I tried to do a climb with my Pajero and failed. I almost toppled my vehicle once. While I was thinking of going back, Behram Sir offered to drive it, we climbed over in 1 go, he made it look so simple. Thanks Sir!

More details and Pictures soon………

Nice write up and exhilarating pics, and a variety of 4x4 and Mahindra JEEPs.

I can see DB Sir, but where is the Thar?

Looking forward to a monsoon event from you guys.

great pics and report soumya, keep it coming.

Thanks to James for driving my Monstar from Mumbai to alibaug

Ibrahim for ride from pune to alibaug.

Mohan, Great efforts man, appreciate it.

Allan, thanks. you know for what.

we left pune by 6.30 met Kunal and Amit on expressway, reached alibaug and i saw monstar first on the road, James was taking it to resort.

once we reached the resort i saw the bunch of mad people just like me with some newbies.

after having dinner we left for the fun and trust me i got what i always look for "MUD", all around me. man it was heaven..

next day morning, we had few more guest and finally gogi was there after long long time, we must have spoken him so many times and he was just waiting for his CJ to get ready, Gogi i hope you enjoyed.

Jiggy how was your experience ??

Mr. Dhabhar, thar performed really well, thanks for offering it for a run but my bad luck i was too busy playing with monstar. you can actually hear engine sound and make out that its much more refined beast.

@ prasad hope you had fun..

I enjoyed night scene more than next day morning.

Thanks everyone for the comments. What a blast!

For those asking for Thar pics, Behram requested not to post the photos. So I am honoring his request. Had a ride with him in it with him to make a new trail. Quite impressive, but then I am a complete noob to all technicalities and finer details!

Please dont wait for any story to complete! Post your write ups and photos and weave them in ...I can restart only in the evening!.

Especially Tejas: Can you tell us what happened next?

Gogi, did your Jeep loose that huge number plate, thanks to any steep obstacle?

-So, the Thar is still elusive, after 22 posts-

Edit - It will remain so, Just read post - 21. NP Behram Sir, we respect your obligation to M&M. But feeling J of the bombay boyz now

Which night scene? the one in the Tent before sleeping? Daivd told me that u guys had lot of fun. I was fast asleep then with my TURBO ON.

On a serious note even I enjoyed the night slush, as the heat was killing during the day.

Good show

Awsome off roading guys!!

Geat to see guys exhausted recovering vehicles! Did the original plan of two routes for newbies and pro's happen?

Was there a vehicle specific trail as proposed?

" 15 cameras and very few pics...Bahut Nainsafi hai mere dost"!

p.s- Thar's pic in action possible?
