Just finished reading the awesome writeup and viewing the wonderful pics adn videos. The enthusiasm poured in each writeup is so infectious- after the first few posts - I was saying to myself- God - how I missed it.

Thank you all for sharing your experiences, pics and videos here.
I really missed it- it seems to have been such a fun and great opportunity it could have been to learn a few basic lessons in OTR. HVK - though you shared the experienced on email but Sir- why you never mentioned it even a day before the event- I would have loved to join and all the more after reading the experiences.

Nice Pics & Videos. Its a really great effort & hardwork by Dr. Mohan by actually making an empty land into an OTR spot. Great!!! Kudos to all the members helping him out.

Hi guys just recovered from all the hangover of the Otr, I can think of no words that could fit right to thank you Dr Mohan as for you Rahul hats off for not only coming for the OTR but coming one day prior to help Dr Mohan to prepare for the OTR. A sincere thanks to you both for organizing such a wonderful OTR. As the title goes the OTR was just like that started with a mud bath after that some vitamins in the night, next morning a good workout which carried on through the afternoon and ended with a wonderful relaxing swim in the lake on top of a mountain. Really really enjoyed it. Missed my jeep very much tough.

Folks ,

Was this water crossing done at the last to wash off the mudbath you had?

Extremely interesting OTR event. Kudos to Dr. Mohan/ Rahul/Tejas. We see lot of videos this time. Best way to put up and learn from mistakes, expert comments.

Way to go.

The water crossing was actually done first thing in the morning to wash off the sins and mudbath of the previous night. Kind of like the bath before going to a temple.

It was truly a sight to behold...a bit like children going mad in a candy store.

There are two incidents I would like to share:

1> Early morning, the 'mama' who is the sweeper/cleaner at the 'resort' is standing there looking at Ibrahim's mud caked gypsy and scratching his head.

The following conversation ensues(translating):

Mama: Was there an accident?
Me: No
Mama: Did he fall to the side of the road?
Me: No
Mama: But the roads in Alibag are so good. How did he manage to do this?
Me: ....(Speechless since there is no logical explanation

)

2> At the water crossing
Elderly gentleman: What are they doing?
Me: Crossing the water
Elderly gentleman:It is a race?
Me: No
Elderly gentleman: Then why are they doing it?
Me: ...(Speechless since I could not use the 'because it is there line'

)

imran you have my serious condolence.but isnnt it funny how the world works. see just a day before you were at the OTR and tackled some of the worst obstacles by mother nature and just got a few ding dongs..but a fight with a man made obstacle resulted in serious damages..
I think thats the call of nature saying come and PLAY..so when is the Next OTR :cheering:
