Getting stuck at Rajmachi!

What, Rajmachi... got stuck?, summer time, how have you managed that?! Are you alone as usual?!
Oh you are with a friend who you trying to introduce to off-roading! wow! Oh, he has a back problem too, which means he can't help you much, great!

Ok well I am with my family at Mahableshwar, my friends are planning a night OTR at Karjat tonight, will request them to help you before that may be,well I am at the shop alone have 3 deleveries pending, I am doing yoga & relaxing at home & then taking the kids out, .

Yes these were the responses of my friends who I started calling after the feeling of "You are stuck, call for help" sank in my mind after almost 45 mins! (ego or super confidence?).But all of them within a minute all set & ready to come & help me out if I couldn't manage local help within an hour!

Well, it all began last Saturday, i.e 22nd May, my office had planned an offsite at lonavala Fariyas resort. We all were supposed to meet there by 1000 hrs.

Me & my colleague & fellow TBHPian Anantha (An_and), who had never been on an OTR, decided to start early finish off the real fun & join the rest of the gang.

Driving the slightly moded King was a thrill for him right from Vashi to the stretch where we turn right to do the final climb. Post which the so called experienced driver (which is me) takes over. Reach the base & walkup the slope to see how it has changed since my last solo which was about 2 months back & find that the soil has become extremely loose. Even walking up is extremely difficult. But then the climb has to be conquored!

So the man & the machine unite to conquor the terrain...

After revving the engine, we take-off!,
The King is manouvering & negotiating the terrain beautifully. The Third pair of the "New Dr. Nanos" front leafs are performing beautifully!

While climbing, I notice The King loosing traction continuously, at certain stages the front wheels are virtually above the ground, the steering is feeling absolutely light, the rear wheel are trying to dig deeper. Suddenly The King refuses to move up & starts to drift down...

Swing into reverse & controll the coming down... only to land a part of my left rear shackle & chasis resting on a tree stump :(

Let the pics speak...

The straight route is thoroughly abused!
I thought I would'nt be able to even approach that, leave aside climbing up... may try it the next time though...
Yes, mine was the only vehicle... (its generally the case ) & Neville my good friend,(satan) gets thoroughly annoyed with it!
Must give him credit... he was there with me on phone constantly advising me to try various things almost till the time I was dug free by trhe locals.
