| I will post the final participant list by the evening. Guys please avoid wearing slippers,sandals or open toed shoes for all the events,this is for your own safety, apart form keeping your feet comfortable they will provide protection from various creepy crawlers as the western ghats is home to a lot of snakes and scorpions.Picture of a snake on the trail.I think it may be a banded Krait.Can anyone confirm this? |

| Kunal - that looks like a Buff Striped Keelback which is non-venomous and harmless. It is not aggressive towards human beings. | 46 participants from all across India, wow! it looks impressive. Kunal just check with the local hospitals & clinics if they have the Antivenom for the snakes usually found in that area. Participants need not be frightened, but they need to take it seriously about wearing at least ankle length shoes and being alert while walking as there are many venomous snakes/scorpion lives in that area. As I understand there are many snake bite kits are available, if any of Docs participating can carry it along, it will we great help in case of emergency. I think we should at least arrange for this commonly use anti-venom in India Polyvalent snake antivenom – Usefule in bites of Saw-scaled Viper Echis carinatus, Russell's Viper Daboia russelli, Spectacled Cobra Naja naja & Common Krait Bungarus caeruleus Pls also update your list its Alok- Gypsy, as of now no other thought for any other vehicle.
