A small query

Due to some pre-committed work, I'll have to get back home the same evening. I would love to do the trail though and can join you guys on 26th morning well in advance before the briefing starts.

Would it be fine if I join you guys on 26th morning and leave for home the same evening ? I would not need accommodation since Karjat is hardly 40 - 42 kms from my place. Would there be any changes in the rates since I would not need an accommodation ?
Hi Sabareesh

I dont want to sound too uptight, but i am sorry that will not be possible.

I have specified form the start that everybody should report on friday the 25th latest by 11:30pm.

If i make an exception for you it would not be fair to all the other guys. You could leave on the 26th evening after dinner.

Hi Kunal

I have a similar connundrum as Sabareesh and will not be able to make the friday on account of work commitments (Am out of Bombay). I am presuming that once I pay up (in full) you should be ok with me showing up on Sat morning. Please confirm if my understanding is correct.

Tx

Hi Neville

I am sorry dude it's not about the money... i can't bend the rules, the problem is if i allow you to come on saturday morning...what stops other guys form turning up on saturday morning.

If you look at it from my point of view it is actually easier for me to tell people to come on saturday morning(no hassle of accomodating everybody on friday night).

The fact is if people turn up on saturday morning experience shows most people will be late and the event will never start on time, this would cause a major problem due to the fact we now have so many vehicles participating.

I am sure you could make it late on friday night if you tried?

Let the participants decide where they want to stay.
The onus is upon them to reach on time.
If they don't the door's closed.
I suppose lets not make it a precondition to stay overnight at Karjat ,it may not be comfortable for all.
Participants would reach on time ,if they don't, leave them behind.
Don't change the fee structure and specify about"NO REFUND" policy.

Hi Mohan

Fellows I really did not think this would even be a issue!

The idea is for everybody to stay together, rough it out a little, start the event on time and go home with good memories.

The thing is we have only one day for the AKC trail, any delays would compound things.

About leaving people behind, that is easier said than done.
Let's just say we decide that people who want to stay elsewhere can and dont turn up on time for some reason or the other. some of them happen to be out of towners who have travelled a long way to get here, what then!
I would not want to leave them behind!

Plus it will put a lot of stress on the organisers(calling them to find out where they are, guiding them to the farm as they would surely get lost enroute etc).

For a few late comers the majority will suffer.

Moto, go with the existing plan. You're pulling this off, its your way or the highway :-) Everybody else better fall in place.
