What a shame not to see even one Delhi Devil or Punjab Putars in the list for participation. I am at Mughal Road fun during those days else would have loved to be there for a "dekho"!

NIOC Chaps where are you??

Tejas, there are now 6 of us (Redliner/Headers/Fiery Enzyme/Mohammed Ali (Arka's ace mechie), and Sid Santosh) accompanying ARKA INC from Chennai/Bangalore driving down to Pune in 1 car to join in as spectators, spotters, and marshals. Would be great if Allan could lend us a jeep for the trail just for us 6 ;-)

Ummm, the stuff about participation closed just skipped right over our heads.

Guys,
I know that iam adding to your trouble by suggesting this. I know how exhausted you guys are organising every thing to ensure that things pass off well. But can i suggest some thing?

There has been a lot of talk about reducing carbon fot print by planting samplings by off road groups. But i dont think any one till this date delivered on this. Now can we do some thing this time considering the kind of turnout this event is going to generate?

Remember just a tree consumes 1 ton of carbon monoxide in its complete life time of 100 years. Can we do some thing?

p.s- Let Mumbai Extreme offroaders take responsibility of just one tree for its life time. Name it Abhimanyu or Alpha Kilo. Nuture it, protect it and bring back life to it. Every year start the off road from that point and make the event bigger and better. What say?

Vinod, thanks for re-iterating. This has been discussed earlier & I guess Kunal has made arrangements, check this post.

Vinod

I am planting 60 trees on my land, which are indigenious trees which are native to maharashtra.

I thought this would help offset the damage we might do to the flora around the trail area. These trees wil be cared for and a majority of them will reach maturity.

We will plant one tree on the 25th of june, this will take a couple minutes and will mark the beginning of the AKC event after which the farm workers will take over the planting.

Hi motocamp,

A small query

Due to some pre-committed work, I'll have to get back home the same evening. I would love to do the trail though and can join you guys on 26th morning well in advance before the briefing starts.

Would it be fine if I join you guys on 26th morning and leave for home the same evening ? I would not need accommodation since Karjat is hardly 40 - 42 kms from my place. Would there be any changes in the rates since I would not need an accommodation ?

Kunal, I would be coming as a spectator. Please let me know how can I pay to confirm my place.

Cheers
