Just one more thing to add to Ghajini vs Spidy discussion (not argument), unsure of what the tyre pressure on the Ghajini was because a couple of pounds here or there can make a lot of difference we all understand (some of us theoretically and most practically). Plus the most important thing is the line, just compare Spidy's line of ascent vs the failed attempts of Ghajini's closely...you will notice that the right front tyre of Ghajini was entering the same loose mud zone again and again making it further loose with each attempt while Spidy was may be 4 inches outside that loose zone clearly...which means the loose zone passed in between the front two tyres and not under it.

Having said the above, we all know there are way too many permutations in this...hence our discussion is pure academic.

Its wonderful how this video has turned into a jeep vs gypsy debate, considering that the two people debating the issue werent even there at the spot to witness the events. i just love jeep vs gypsy debates.

anyway,
thanks akaash for the pics and videos.

wrt to the bumper straightening video, i think it was the easiest and also appropriate method used to prevent the bumper from rubbing against the tyre.

They got it stitched out of multiple plastic bags. These are the ones you get in Reliance Fresh. More supermarket bags are not that great. That is what Viji is wearing.

Jokes apart, your source is Duck Back :-)

Im glad Mahindra has put a 100 bhp engine in the Thar. Now with some grunt its worthy of being called a Jeep. All earlier examples qualified as terrible underpowered examples serving to fill up the Mahindra coffers while doing the offroading enthusiast no good at all.
Well, today I heard something similar. Conquering offroad terrain needs a very powerful engine, this was said by none other than Netra Raghuraman, an authority on offroading in National Geographic.
