Escape to the Nature Offroading at SOMWARPET (Coorg) ON 21th Aug 2010

The Pioneers Tennis club of Somwarpet (Coorg) is organising their annual OTR "Escape to the Nature" in Somwarpet on the 21th August 2010.
It's purely a 4X4 event with pleanty of slush, mud and river crossings (and hopefully modarate rains...)
The distance is approximately 35kms.
Entries strictly for 4WD vehicles.

Spoke to the organizer. The entry fees@2k/head (not per jeep) seems very steep considering that event is only for one day with Breakfast and lunch provided. Hope I am not being stupid

Sathya your jeep will be ready for the event? We already confirmed with Naveen i am joining with 11 Jeeps and Gypsy's.

I received the entry form and couple of items intrigued me.

1) Utility & Pickup vehicles are strictly not allowed.
2) Balloon Radials & Rover button tyres are stricly not allowed.

Grace, the first point would disqualify your Katte-Kiruba.

Is the MM540 ready for action?

BTW, what are rover button tyres? Never heard of them. Balloon radials are probably the dabwali istyle oversized tyres.

Uhhmmmm, well you are right on the first point though.
540 will be ready by sep 15.
But either way 2k is still very expensive? Sour grapes for me? heck yes !!!!

People who have registered for the event, don't forget to book your accommodation for 20th night. The 2000 per head fee doesn't include accommodation, that came as a surprise.
