We have 33 vehicles confirmed with nearly 50 persons.
The list sure looks interesting.

Ayiiooo saare. Please dont scare us like that.

How is that little notorious mud pit - is it slushy and is it on the trail this time?

It is on Pumpkin, by hitting on a rock hidden inside a bush. I always thought that Jeep's pumpkin will crack, I was surprised to see a dent on my 550's front differential. I have seen dents on Gypsy's differentials though.

Thanks

It has rocks as well as mud, but the climbs with rocks are the tricky bit where one can scar the vehicles.

Mr Shakir where are the pictures?! Such delays are unacceptable!!!

Hi folks,

Recce was tedious and vehicle bashing. We have trail explored and marked for both days of OTR. Also, Marshals have concluded that longer wheelbased vehicles like Nissan Patrol, Scorpio and Tata Safari will get badly damaged on body and underbelly, differentials, engine oil sump. Hence, these vehicles should be avoided bringing to OTR on 18th and 19th Sept.

Nevertheless, above vehicles are high performing vehicles and are capable. We will come out OTR plan on alternate trail in Avalakonda itself shortly to compensate. Appologies for present discouragement. Hope one will understand.

The event goes like below:

First day, i.e. 18th Sept. : Entry into OTR trail 10 kms before of MP Sreenivas's Cabin, continue on one of the most treacherous trail we did on 27th November 2009. Reach the water crossing and break for lunch. Return to tarmac and proceed to MPS's cabin for last bit of OTR- slush patch which claimed Raihaan's scorpio. Camp for the night. Dinner and camp fire.

Second Day, 19th Sept : water crossing in the lake and continue on newly explored OTR trail , reach mud pit and water crossing over rocks. After Break for lunch, reach out the road and return to Bangalore and bases.

Breakfast and lunch will be served.

Food will be served for both days at no cost to participants. This is a gesture of comraderie from Marshals of Bangalore Offroaders.

Good luck !

Dwarak

Robinson, Avalakonda terrain is a combination of rock, slush, water and mud. A unique offroading spot.

Really appreciate the gesture, but i would like to pay or contribute to the fund please.

How are the water crossing, are they really deep? Do they have an alternate approach for some ol fella's like DwArF, who are not very happy with water at this point of time?

VERY VERY tough. If water does not recede or goes up even further, we have planned alternate routes for the OTR. However, as Dwarak mentioned, Big vehicles are a strict no-no.

Jaggu,

Will definitely consider your offer

Water crossing is not must. But if you want to, welcome. We have already charted out alternate track avoiding water crossing.

Advance information to Gypsy drivers:

A major pat of Day 1 & Day 2 terrain is rocky and big big boulders/rocks. over inclines/declines & bushes. BE warned that if you ride your clucth, your clutch will fry. So, either carry a spare clutch (and means to replace one) or ride carefully, according to instructions from your spotters.
