Thanks Avi and Adnan,

Yes, it was a throughly enjoyable day, on a course that was very well balanced which put the driver's skills to test. Challenging definitely.
At places some senior off-roaders in their LR's, Pajeros, CJ's, Porches, etc. got stuck, where the rescue teams had to winch them out.

First time runners and fellow members like Ardy and Adnan....just went on like veterans without a single stall while some seniors had a hard time. It was amazing to see the upsets. Moderate rain a day earlier, all through the evening and night, changed the character of the track than originally planned and made it more fun.

Not a single injury or breakdown throughout and particularly the Gypsies and 540/550's making it through effortlessly was a treat to watch.

In some Jeeps were three generations going through the course as one, many kids from 3 years plus were on the track, thus inculcating in them the Jeep culture at an early age.

The well laid out track was perfectly designed keeping all aspects of driving techniques in mind. Organizers did a flawless job in designing, lunch/ refreshments, keeping emergency services standby.

Noteworthy was the way rescue teams were on full time alert and were reaching the stuck or stalled vehicles to tow or winch them out within 5 minutes of receiving a call from any part of the course, namely...Bharat (CJ3B), Shafathat Nawab (Judo) and Saliq Nawab (FJ blue). Prashanth the head marshall, while Shams was overseeing a smooth operation of everything else. Congratulations!

It was a day of sheer enjoyment, camaraderie and demonstration of how technique matters more than the machine.

As I did not carry my zoom and was located only at some obstacles, the overall course could not be covered by me,
hence the request to Nazim and Anirudh to post pics. of the missing track.

Regards,

For most of us who have not seen a LHD Mahindra.
Owned by Zaheer
(organizer), was intended for the Iran market.

Sir Behram will be the right person to elaborate on it.

Notice the FRP hard top.

I have actually seen that Jeep quite a few times in Banjara Hills and the way it accelerates, I thought it to be a CJ5.

Even if its a M&M, it sure has some stonker of an engine under the hood.

Beautiful pics Fazal bhai.

Haven't seen a better congregation of 4x4 beauties and its quite expected that it happens in Hyderabad!

Love the Green Series-II Landy and the beautifully done up 540/550s and possibly some Kaisers too?

Looking forward to some more pics!

Best,
Aditya

Jeep Thrills was a wonderful event. A very well organised event and a fantastic track. Kudos to all the organisers.

On the first look, the track did look intimidating especially the slush part of the track which is where most of the Jeeps were getting stuck. While we were waiting for the Jeeps stuck in the slush to be pulled out, quite a few people came over and asked if I was still game to go through that slush as I was a first time off-roader. I took it as a challenge and boy-o-boy it was fun driving through that slush. At the end of the day, I wanted more

Appreciate all the tips that I received before entering the track as well as on track from Fazal, Prabhu, Suren, Ravveendrra and others. Thanks guys.

Look forward to more such events and off-roading.

Cheers,

That was I think made upon a TRAX chassis, indeed very disproportionate and funny one. Parked somewhere in the corners.

Kudos to Hyderbad offroaders.

Fazal Saab, what an awesome collection of Jeeps. If I had the faintest info on what this event would be like, I would have definitely squeezed through. The track seems interesting.
