I moved to the part of the track where most of the participants were having a tough time.

















All four wheels have lost traction and spinning. Time to call the rescue jeep to winch this one out!



But, The rescue jeep needs to be rescued first!

To set the record straight, the track for the last event held on 29th March, 2009 was designed by me with the help of Dr. Barkat Ali Khan, Salik bhai and Shafat bhai.
This time around, it was Shafat bhai all the way for the 4WD track. I only designed and constucted the 2WD track under the esteemed guidance of Shafat bhai.

Thats nice, I didn't know you were the principal designer of the 2009 track.
Featured here is only the 2010 4WD track and not the 2WD or 2009 track, so the records stay the way they are.

You are right the vehicle in the last photo is based on the trax. Its built by Sudhacars and was earlier fluorescent green in colour.

I've read each word on this thread and have been following your threads and Jeeps (the white, orange and brown MM540s, and now the LYNX) on the roads of Hyderabad.
And having read the configuration of the Lynx, I was astonished by her smoothness when she gracefully glided through the traffic near Naobat-pahad on last Sunday morning.

I've been looking forward to see you ever since I bought my Jeep in 2008. But somehow, it just did not happen. When we finally did meet up in Oct 2010 at the Drywash Jeepthrills Challenge I was in a rush and we couldn't really speak much.

I own a 1993 export model MM540(the pictures of which you had posted on the Drywash thread last year).

I'm out of city for a while now and will have limited access to internet, on my return next year, I definitely will catch up with you. I've obtained your mobile number from one of your posts, intended for someone else... will call you up if thats ok with you.

Look forward to see the Lynx in detail and learn something about my own Jeep from you!!

Hi, I've seen your LHD in Banjara Hills, at first it was the hard top and the two tone color that caught my attention then of course the LHD. It should be one of its kind in India most likely, a rare set of wheels to have.

Thats right, it an IRAN model, intended for export there. Surely one of its kind on Indian roads with an original hard top. Somewhere on this thread I had posted its pics.

Hi Feroz, yes it is quite rare as they did not really let many of these wander out of their factories. Mine belonged to an engineer who served M&M for more than two decades in a plant in Maharashtra and during that period used this vehicle as his office car. He got it along when he left M&M and moved to Hyderabad.
For long I've wished to start a thread about how I got her (since it took me 6 solid months of persuasion) but thanks to my laziness I haven't.
I simply love it, and one thing I know for a fact is that God-willing I'll never let go of it. Got loads of plans with this one.
