About the event from the organiser:

The Off-road route is already set and recee was also done. Its a great 50kms route with 8kms of broken tarmac as transport, 2Km of smooth dirt surface and the rest is going to be OFFROADERS PARADISE!!.

Off-road route consists of lots of boulders, rocky path, good sluch patches, slippery terrain and 3 stream crossings. One stream crossing is 100mts long. The stream is 2 feet deep in the entry and exit is 3 feet deep and along the 100mts route is about 1.5 feet of water. This 100Mtrs of stream crossing with be done twice i.e. in froward and reverse direction.

So, hardcore offroaders & enthusiasts, get to Kadabugere Cross (before Balehonnur) & see what’s in store for you & your machine on 13.11.2010

This is the closest OTR location for me, wonder how I missed this thread. Sadly, I can't bring my Jeep, the engine is still in running-in after the recent overhaul.

Are the entries closed?

I think I have met the organizer Ashok Tiwari couple years back in Coorg MGE.

How long is the actual trail? (50-(8+2) = 40kms of offroading trail?

Just saw the thread today, too short time to get going, but would have loved to go, tried calling Ashok too , its out of reach as of 12th Nov 10:45 am!!

I have some pics of this event, not great quality! Was driving the blue nissan Patrol!

The event is very good, its worth driving in rain all the way from Bangalore to Balehonur,

The trial is moderate, other than one water crossing no vehicle damages,

0nly tanzeem and farhan both Gypsys crossed this water crossing, after that Tazeeem tried and his monster Endevour fully dug up the trial, all others after him has to take winch help to cross this stream.

Vijay/C10 , wonderful trail. Is this trail much talked about leading to down the ghat to Ujire side. I remember somebody in t-bhp talked about

No Dwaraka, this is a different district. This is close to Muthodi forest range. Entry point is between Balehonnur and Chikmagalur. Ujire is Dakshina Kannada district.
