The Mahindra Great Escape bandwagon reached Hyderabad on 13th November. Here are the details
Welcome to Mahindra Great Escape

As per the recce pictures on FB, seems to be an easy and rocky terrain. Entry fee is Rs3k per vehicle which includes breakfast and lunch for driver +3 crew. Each team also a gets a free voucher from a particular go karting venue.

The flag off is from Hotel Expotel near Snow World in Lower Tankbund at 7.30am 13th November 2010

Breakfast before flag- off and a post-event lunch has been organised at Hotel Expotel, opposite Kart Cave.

Some pics of the recce.

The route has been done by Racecraft and has a parallel track for 2WDs wherever obstacles require 4WD. We have some flat dirt roads followed rock strewn pathways leading to a lake, then up a rocky hill and descent thru some thick forestation.

I am sure you will all enjoy it as immensely as Dr. Barkat Ali Khan and myself did while putting the route together.

Yes! Spot on!

This is the Ocean Valley just off the NH9. It is 9km ahead of Ramoji Film City.

Hope to see you all participating. Please drop in at Kart Cave and complete your registrations early so that you can spend your time enjoying GoKarting and breakfast on the event day rather than waste time in filling up registration forms and pasting stickers on your car.

Done about a week back. Even the draft has been made and submitted as well.

A very well planned out track designed by Mazdayar and his team.
The Mahindra team did a great job on recoveries.
Congratulations!

Good entries and continuously interacting participants and team Mazdayar/ Mahindra.

Lake crossing was most challenging with waist deep water at places, the steep and high sheet rock incline was equally challenging.

Prabhu, Mobike008 and I were in the Hyderabad Rubicon which eased her way through water and land.

I would love to drive on this track again.

I did not carry the camera, fellow members will post pics. of the event here soon

It was wonderful to see everybody had a great time at the event yesterday.

We started with registrations in the morning followed by GoKarting at Kart Cave for all the participants after which a buffet breakfast was served at the Expotel Hotel.

During breakfast, everyone was treated to a video of past MGE events and a very informative video on off-roading techniques by multiple National Rally Champion, Hari Singh.

It was then the time to introduce the team conducting this event and Mr.Naresh Bhosle briefed the participants. I added my bit and we were then ready for flag-off from Kart Cave.

Once we reached Ocean County, we were greeted by the MD, Mr.Venkateshwara Rao, who flagged us off for the actual off-roading.

After getting all wet and dirty, it was back to Kart Cave where a sumptuous lunch was waiting for all at the Expotel Hotel.
