Bangalore - Ramanagara- sholay hills ride and offroading

Dear Bangy boys,

Was planning a ride/drive on this sunday , 21st Nov from Bangalore to Ramanagara- sholay hills and back of 130 kms round trip. (All kinds of bikes)Bikers and Jeep/Gypsyers are welcome to join the jantha.

Speciality of the trip is the combination of 1 WD and 4 WDs and a joint offroading. Please confirm your participation.

We start from Metro Stores on Kanakapura Road at 7 a.m. Randezous at Nice Road- Mysore Road junction at 7.30 a.m.

It was a small group of 6 bikes and two gypsies and one MM550 and One Maruti Alto. rode to Kadumane and had nice thatte Idli and uddhu vada. Started after breakfast at about 8.30 a.m. and reached Sholay Hills in about 30 minutes. Lazy sunday for Mysore -Bangalore highway. Not much of traffic, excepting some trucks and cars trying to overtake each other as if they are in dire urgency.

Sholay hills as mighty as they are. Nishant in Jeep and Sunil Parvathaneni is Gypsy roached the rock top in no time. Bikers are still wondering what to do. I take my bullet on top of the rock, followed by others like karizmas, ybx and YZs. One blue YZ lost balance and broke front foot rest. Nothing happened to rider. In a Jiffy the foot rest is changed from rear to front.

Then came the descent of 4WDs and 1 WDs from rock to other face of the rock. One by one relunctant and hesistant rolled down. Sugan in his YZ was first to roll down. Again back on same rock. Rested bikes and then 4WD started showing their mights.

Rest was fun for about 2 hrs and then returned back to Bangalore by 12 p.m.

Jaggu missed your DwaRf. Pictures angles are deceiving of real gradients. They are steep enough to scare the newbies. This is Third offroading on my bullet. I experience good amount of torque at low speed while climbing.
