Guys, it was a pleasure meeting you guys in person for the first time. I totally enjoyed the terrain though I returned with a broken second leaf and bent tie rod :-).

Looking forward to joining you guys for more OTRs in Bangalore.

Akaash, nice pictures.

Jaggu, FYI - 10 vehicles which consisted of 2 gypsies and 8 jeeps (one was 2WD which left it at the base). Good we had small polulation. Imagine 25+ confirmed and turnout only 10. Good we had Vinay Varghese along to help in spotting and guiding.

We travelled on Bannerghatta road till Gottigere for breakfast. Reached Anekal by 8.30 a.m. regrouped and left for Devarabetta. 9.3- - 9.45 a.m. we were at the base of Devarabetta. Without much of announcement, drove to behind Temple. Rest is all picturised. Return lunch point at 3 p.m. and home by 5 p.m. after sumptuous, surprise lunch of MOMOs and kati rolls, jeera rice.

Pictures will follow.

A fun filled OTR with a couple of decent steep climbs to add that little bit of extra weight on the chest

Yes it was a fun filled OTR and a bit scary looking for newbies (like me) who do not have any experience in hill climb and descend.
An amazing way to spend a lazy Sunday. We should do this more often.

It just amazes me each time what these rickety machines are capable of pulling off in the hands of extremely ordinary drivers like me too. ~40deg inclines et al comfortably yesterday...just amazing!!!

Livyodream: Yeah a night OTR at the same place will be a killer!!! Imagine climbing those hills with compromised visibility...madness!!!
