Distinguished - BHPian ![]() ![]() | ![]() Extreme Offroaders are proud to announce the 2011 EXAMM! What new this time? - We have a bigger team; much bigger - we have more time to prepare. No last minute trying to add more dates for making it worthwhile for other jeepers. - No EXO cars will participate. Thus, more out of station cars will be allowed - Only one venue (in the deccan ghats). so no moving around much - Accommodation will be in hotels (no roughing out after a long day) - Marshal Cars - Mechanic services - Detailed map prior to event - Lot's more. I've added a poll so that you guys can chose preferred dates. This time it won't be in June since the rains are not predictable. I prefer 9/10 July so that Chennai TPC guys have adequate time. So what else do you want from this year's EXAMM!? |

Distinguished - BHPian ![]() ![]() | ![]() TPC always happens at that time. That's the only reason. |

Distinguished - BHPian ![]() ![]() | ![]() Ok. We also need to discuss venue. Got feedback that people don't want to do same trails (lonavla) and want to do Igatpuri / Mahabaleshwar / Goa side. Mahabaleshwar is out since the locals are notorious there and not worth the headache. We have a friend who has acres of private property on the Bombay-goa road. We will scout around and see the terrain. |

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() Whether i have a 4x4 or not, i am in for this biggie. Ready to assist on the preparations as well. Just dates bata do so that whatever leaves are required, can get it sanctioned. |

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() I suggest first that only a limited number of 4X4s be allowed and thats that. We will have to be stern here because otherwise it gets a free for all in some obstacles. I further suggest that a maximum number of tries be maintained for an obstacle. If for whatever reason, one cannot finish, then the particular vehicle, should give way to the other vehicles, either by moving on to the other obstacle or by getting at the end of the line if he so desires to tackle the obstacle, again for a certain fixed number of tries. for first time participants to an offroading meet, please do a little exploring and get to know your vehicle well a while before the meet. Will help booth you and us. Also if we can learn and improve from the last EXAMM it should be a battle won. Go on......... |

The Chennai JEEPers are looking forward to EXAMM and AKC this year. I wouldn't mind a repeat of the same trails as long it is raining heavily, the terrain will become very exciting ![]() Regards, Arka

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() Guys if everyone is interested in something new then I have two places in mind Goa and Kutch. I can understand that everyone is looking for something new but there are few points which we need to look at as an organizer. 1) Trail - Its easier to do multiple recces and comeup with best trails when you are in your home town. 2) Permissions - We can use our pull and sort this too when we are in home town. 3) Accomodation & Food. All these things are easier to deal with when you are in home town but if everyone is really interested in trying out something new then I would request you all to confirm your participation asap. If we have a list of confirmed participants even by end of March or April we can go ahead and plan and excute everything. I suggest one person can take lead from every state for their Offroad buddies. 1) Arka for chennai Terra Tigers 2) Khan & Jaggu for Bangalore Boys 3) DKG - Hyderbad 4) Harjeev - NIOC I am sorry if i have missed out anyone. All are most welcome. Boys lets freez the venue first so we can start moving in right direction. If we dont get inputs from out of town participants then we will go ahead with planning something around deccan ghats Cheers Devang Last edited by pdev29 : 17th January 2011 at 11:23. |

If Kutch is an option, some of us from Ahmedabad will be more than glad to help organize. How about Daman/Silvassa side? Anyone know about good trail options there? Cheers, Adi

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() Devang, Tejas, Motocamp and all organizers of AKC, Just do your job like the last event and we will join you ...whether, Kashmir or Kanyakumari. I confirm my participation, God willing. BTW Goa, Daman, Silvassa, suggested by AVR seem good options. North Jeepers can come by Agra-Bombay highway. South Jeepers can come by Ahmed Nagar- Nashik highway, or better routes. If Goa, WhiteMM550 Asheesh and his brother Manjunath can do the reece there. Regards, |

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() Devang, both Goa and Kutch require immense planning and a lot of driving time to get there. Now a lot of enthusiastic people will confirm and a few days before a whole lot will decline. We have seen that happen all the time even for trails nearby. I would suggest to keeping it in our home state and nearby, where we have the support of the locals and where the locals are friendly. Daman and Silvasa, tough a great option has some really notorious locals. Please stick to within Maharashtra. Just my two bits!! |

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() Tejas and Devang here's what I think will be a absolute riot for this year's EXAMM. Tie up with a beach resort in Goa. Make it a 3/4 day event Day 1 offroading Day 2 relax and enjoy the beach and watersports etc Day 3 offroading If people want more you can make the first session a 2 day trail event This will become a riot as Goa is a great place to party everynight. On the beach !! The town itself is a huge draw for so many people, families included. Many of you can come there with your better halves and even if they don't wish to offroad the town will keep them busy. Rope in the local offroaders for trail identification. Being a tourist hot spot I am sure the local resort can help tie things up with the local authorties Just an idea ![]() Last edited by DKG : 17th January 2011 at 21:06. |
