You are too modest ... This was the 2nd topple.

The 1st was very innocent and probably a case of just a wrong line and lenght but this challenge had zero margin for error and resulted in topple.

Guys who need technical details :: This challenge is best seen in person, not in pics/videos. It is a STEEP climb with a (3-axis tilt)

1st - obvious steep climb up
2nd - a diagonal stretch (not just straight up) - This was the killer deal
3rd - the whole stretch had a tinge of tilt towards the left

So, general marshal advice was to gun & Pump in 2nd low - STICK to the extreme right, kiss the bushes and watch out for a bunch of rocks at the exit. Loose grass and sand were compliments of the hill side.

The entrance had a huge crater (The TOPPLE crater), so you basically start right next to the crater, gun it and drive up holding a right-side line and left tilt!!!

Any of the lines are missed, and If you forced to come back, you need to correct the steering 'into' the crater (OR turn left, away from the correct line and the crater and INTO the left face, which is lined with trees and bushes)- this was the only way out safe - ELSE, you will end up coming down diagonally and at some point over compensate and the front right starts to lift and you will be precariously placed next to the crater and end up in a one-topple, not a multiple roll over.

I suggest a red flag system be introduced so that when a marshal senses a participant is doing something outright dangerous he can bring out a red flag and stop the event so that organisers can warn the participant to fall in line. On all other occasions participants can and should be allowed some flexibility to try a maneuver perhaps in variance to what a marshal may recommend. If it doesn't endanger someone I guess one should allow some flexibility. Ultimately you want people to also learn and evolve their own techniques and enjoy doing so

More pictures. Prado was driven by friend of owner. He had not expected the damages of this kind. Cladding was out of hinge and front bumper was almost unrivetted.

Rock/ dry dust / slush / inclines / declines - where else but the AvalaKonda!

There were 2 topples - A Major and a 540. This year was miles ahead of last year.

I'm sure next year will be better.

i personally thanks all the participants and organizers for making this event a success,

What an idea DKG (read Ji, as in Sir Ji)!! Smart and very practical, also, penalty should be an accompanier with the Red flag (advance deterrents).

Oh man. I really missed this time. Was getting ready for this and my Jeep was in good condition. But what to do . Had to fly to Rajasthan on 26th and was back only on 31st. Anyway good show guys. There is always the next year anyways.

Hmm hope we will have more OTRs in bangalore in the coming months.

Aaahiiiiyeeee Santhosh, You didn't share this information with me. Now suffering from some kind of fever due to not seeing much of Explorer's action pictures.

Let me see from next time onwards, I will try to catch some camera carrying person as my navigator.
