Sorry Guys,

My Gurkha is still at the Garage, getting the PTO winch ready. (Fingers crossed, Praying for it to work!)
Besides Every weekend OTR would mean, being chucked out of home

SV, they are planning for Bidaraguppe lake only, not the water crossing (at least thats what I understood)

Mini OTR at Bidaraguppe

For the benefit of aspiring offroaders like me, a quick three hour OTR demo was organized by svsantosh and Frankenstein today. Needless to say, it was a great experience

There was hardly any water in the area to try wading so when we found a small little puddle, the jeeps took to it immediately. Lol.

The water was over the bonnet.
Most dip sticks I have seen in engines are not water tight and they are placed lower than bonnet.
So I guess water went in from dipstick side.

Yeah Sunil, but sorry I don't remember the name of the other spot. It was somewhere in the Hosur-Attibele area. That was where the little hillock was. We just followed svsantosh to that place

Dip stick might not be air tight but most of them are quite water resistant, atleast the modern one. I suspect one of the breather pipes, that would have let the water in. So try to inspect them first. Or a lose filler cap. If you look at them, they will have a o-ring or two for both dip stick and filler cap.
