IMO you will only need a bellhousing to join MDI3200TC with your GB. also note that the bolt pattern of t90 matches with KMT90, so if a bellhousing with KMT90 will do the job. the only task is to check the engine with similar bolt pattern of MDI3200B which uses a KMT90 GB. IMO the international series engines share the bolt pattern with MDI3200 please verify that. (i am not 100% sure :D) arka & spike will be able to answer this question more than any one else. dear frankenstein, can you pls clear some doubts for my mm540 ? i have a toyota 3C engine for 40thou, from a friend, who says its a direct fit to the isuzu GB. he has fitted the same in a contessa, and the toyota 3c-T gives approx. 150bhp ...phenomenal... 1. is toyota 3C + isuzu 5 speed + 4.27 diff = suitable for mm540 ? 2. should the rear diff housing need to be changed to centre aligned, as the isuzu gb's rear shaft is from centre ? 3. or will toyota 3C can be matched with the OE KMT90 GB of mm540 ? is this adviseable ? if yes, can the diff ratio be lowered from the OE 4.88 to 4.27 or even 3.73 ? which combination will be best suitable ? best regards. |

RD28 is an awesome engine. I have bought a Nissan RD28 euro 2 engine for my Kaiser JEEP. There are 2 RD28s available in the market, make sure you buy the latest Truck engine , not the old car engine. What is price of the RD28 and nissan Gearbox. Did you source the tyres in that size you mentioned. When i see that RD28 540 , ill post pics of the engine bay. |

@ sandeep, thanks a ton bro for clarifying my doubts. one more thing where can i source the 11/41 crown pinion set from , i am looking for a turbo charged rd 28 , have just been able to source the gear for 25 grand. i have ordered the tires with the local dealer, he says it is going to take a couple of weeks to get them as it is an odd size and about the the price he will only be able to tell once there is confirmation about the availability . |

Hi sammyaulakh , RD28 is an awesome engine. I have not experienced the nissan gear box , but driven a mm540 with rd28+kmt90+4.88 diff. The Jeep moves in 4th gear from stand still. If you are going for RD28 then go for 4.27 or 11/41 . I have bought a Nissan RD28 euro 2 engine for my Kaiser JEEP. There are 2 RD28s available in the market, make sure you buy the latest Truck engine , not the old car engine. Isuzu 4jg2 i have driven but in the trooper not the JEEP. It is power full in the sense good low end torque but very slow after 2000rpm. Both the engines are as silent as petrol engines , but the RD28 straight 6 will smoke the G2 . G2 s power delivery is like that of the Di turbo engine slow and powerful . RD28 revs upto 5000rpm and it moves the JEEP from standstill with out jerks in any gear. What is price of the RD28 and nissan Gearbox. Did you source the tyres in that size you mentioned. NGCS + OKBJ is perfect . Army MM550 rear axle comes with LSD standard.
