Re: Hyderabad Hard Top (Thar)

So Prabhu is back from his Goa holiday officiating at the RFC India.

He agreed to send his guy on August 21. Lets wait it out.

The crate packing is also my property, wow some wood for a campfire this winter!

Oh it's almost time for let's-go-bash-the-hard-top-for-a-change.

I am guessing, the first complaint will be that the hard-top is incapable of stopping a bullet!

Getting worried about what ? Its poor customer service. A guy who charges 95000 for a hard top and who is likely to get a lot of business rererals from Delhi goes off on a holiday without leaving a responsible person behind to answer queries and sits over his comittment to deliver in time and send a person to install it, he has charged seperately for installation as well.

He was not driving in the RFC but was an official in the event either en route or at the organizers office in Goa.

As for bulletproof if it is then good.

Prabhu is in for a world of pain. He should have talked to Anand Mahindra first. More details in the "Why I wont' buy a Hard Top from Hyderbad Thread" and then followed by "Oops I did it again" thread.

Re: Hyderabad Hard Top (Thar)

Alls well that ends well.
Prabhus man came last evening, slept in my farmhouse started work promptly at 9 AM at the local Mahindra ASC in Gurgaon, everything was there in the crate. Assembly completed at 2 PM with a 30 minute lunch break. So 4 1/2 hrs to dismantle the canvas top and complete the installation.

I never said why I wont buy it I reported things on customer service after I bought it thats fair I guess.

Why is this pic not rotating seems ok on the file but flipped here.

Re: Hyderabad Hard Top (Thar)

Little adjustsments here and there. The original boot liner / rear door liner gasket supplied with the kit was not enough to stop the water seeping into the rear when in rain or car wash. THe local denter at RR auto suggested a change. We fished out a Bolero gasket from the store and it sits fine. Problem solved.

Yesterday at the Dr. Karni Singh shooting range with the rear hatch open.

Re: Hyderabad Hard Top (Thar)

The rear leak is quite a problem. Found out that my gasket is not aligned correctly with the groove-quite impossible to fix. Will have to fabricate a water channel for the roof edge.

Hi wierd_san, Are you looking for something like this?
Hyderabad Hard Top (Thar)-img_8427.jpg

It would be better if you can contact Prabhu directly as he is not a member of Team-Bhp. You can find the contact details in this thread.
