I think when I was in Bombay, I saw brand new Body Shell's in Kurla. You might want to check that out. Cost was ~70k for the entire body, seats, upholstery, dials, steering wheel.. or.. everything that can be seen in the interior of a Jeep.

Rajubhai, lots of bodyshells are scrapped from Kandivli and also from Nasik, by the QC team. If you have contacts in Mumbai, tell them to keep their eyes open for you.

Another option I am thinking of is getting a Jeep from Army Auctions , which has a good body shell but bad mechanicals as scrap .will dismantle it & use parts .

But I will have to wait till few formalities & papers to be completed

anyways this is going to take time to take a proper start .

Hey guys,

Did anyone procure the shell for the 540? I am on the lookout as well. The 540 needs a little bodywork. The mechanic quotes 70 k with all the work done. I reckon it would be cheaper and less of a hassle, if I can procure a new shell.
