Great. So how about a few jeepers descending at his place to check this place out? I also want a hard top from my Gypsy. I have a design in mind and would like to find out if my design can be realized in toto by him with the desired fit & finish.

I called Mr.Lobo, and he is the original designer of Gypsy HT. He will send me some pictures of 540 HT by tommrow. But i am not sure if he can make custom tops as he may not have molds/dyes to do that.

mmmmmm.. tricky then. In that case, I will have to show him a design that will get his creative juices flowing & get him hooked onto it

If enough people with gypsies can order, then it may justify the cost of him making the mould.

Mr.Lobo sent me the pictures of HT for Gypsy and Jeep. There is no difference in Gypsy top, BUT Jeep HT is definitely a welcome change than normal Roplas HTs. I am going to order one of these, if at-least another 4 order with me. It doesn't make sens for him to make just one Top.

PS They make Fender Flares as well as shown in the picture, and Top can be any color of choice.

Now let the pictures talk.

Jeep tops are near to Wrangler tops and look excellent...! Sure it will change the looks of 540/550. Please get more pics if possible from Rear and closes as well..

Sreeraj what about the BPillar? Need to remove or can fix the top with Pillar inside? Please check dat too

Had met Mr Lobo yesterday. Seems to be a man who knows his stuff.
His rates seem to be really pricey.

for the hard top on the gypsy he has quoted INR 1Lakhs

per vehicle and only if 4 people require the same.

I wanted to modify by adding a sunroof option which he is quoting IN 15000/-

I am planning to enquire in someother places. Any suggetions?

P:S- he is an oldy who keeps ooooon talking.

Are you sure 1 lakh for gypsy hard top

. Gypsy hard top from authorized seller it will cost between 20-25k.

OEM hard top only 40k and there was one old one availabe at solar for 25k.

1lakh may not be for one for sure.may e for 4
